Estaca Zero — Restaurant in Lisbon

We went to this restaurant quite late in the evening after already eaten, wanting to experience fado and stay and have quite a few drinks. When we entered the waitress asked if we were were eating, and we said drinking mainly but we might have some small food to eat with it (olives etc). We ordered tapas and sangrea and the waitress immediately said and what else are you eating? We were made to feel very unwelcome and were expected to immediately order more food. When the tapas arrived it was the worst food we've ever been served, 3 scrivelled olives and old processed ham and cheese. We were planning on staying for quite a few drinks into the evening, but left immediately after finishing this as we were not made to feel welcome. Ive been to fado previously in Lisbon this didn't even compare. A massive tourist...

We really recommend this place to everyone who’s looking for an authentic Portuguese experience. We went there twice for two reasons: the food and the quality! The place is owned by a family who knows well how to welcome you and to make you feel comfortable. The lady who cooks is adorable and her food is incredibly delicious (try Codfish Portuguese style). While enjoying your dinner, you will have the opportunity to listen to some great Fado songs which increase the magic of the lovely atmosphere you can enjoy there. The show is stunning and you will feel 100% like a local. Last but not least, the price. For tasteful dishes, the prices are quite low compared to other restaurants in Lisbon. An amazing experience, we were passing by and asked if they had a table for two. Man, what a really good feeling we had with this place, and we were not disappointed! The food was really really good, the sangria amazing and then came the Fado, exquisite! This is I have to say one of the best evening I had in Lisbon. You feel like you are eating at your (really nice and funny) family but with the quality of food of a really good restaurant. We will come back definitely, thanks...
