Estalagem dos Capotes Brancos — Restaurant in Lisbon

Traditional Portuguese food at a very affordable price. This is a beautiful bar/restaurant located in central Lisbon in an area with a decent amount of nightlife.

The portion sizes are very reasonable, as is the cost. We felt the atmosphere in the restaurant was very comfortable for both inside and outside dining. It is a family owned business for 60+ years, as the owner was explaining to us tonight.

I highly recommend Estalagem dos Capotes Brancos to anyone looking for a great, traditional Portuguese meal and also to pick up a conversation with the team there as they were all so welcoming and...

A real disappointment. One of our mains was missed off the order so we ate separately, and when the missing main came it was raw pork (I’ve included a photo below) which resulted in sickness. The best the manager could offer was 30% off that dish. Calamari was over cooked and rubbery. There was a large cockroach running around the floor which a waiter chased around and stamped on, causing much commotion in the dinning room. Prawns and sangria were tasty. There are so many amazing places to eat and drink in Lisbon, this is not...

[NL] Beste lezer, Je kan hier heerlijke tapasgerechten en hoofdgerechten eten, en dan ben ik nog niet eens begonnen over de Portugese toetjes… De bediening is vriendelijk en is bereid te helpen met het aanbevelen van het typisch Portugese eten. We zijn hier twee avonden achter elkaar gaan eten, omdat we een hele goede ervaring hebben gehad! Een aanrader voor iedereen :)
