I had very nice experience in this restaurant. Didn’t have any expectations because I e heard about place at the same evening when I went there. We were walking a huge hike before so came here starving. It was so warm inside! Very nice atmosphere, clean place and really good service. We had two appetizers, two burgers, drinks and a dessert - full scale dinner! Crusty chicken was fine when onion rings were super cool! I loved them, one of the bests in the city for my taste. Burger was good, ofc a bit overpriced as any craft burger place, good quality but nothing extraordinary. What was a nice surprise to me - fries made of sweet potato. It was fantastic!! I had a delicious cocktail based on gin - strong but easy to drink and very refreshing. Dessert was very tasty - ice-cream with some handmade strawberry jam (at least it really tasted like good quality handmade jam) with whipped cream and white chocolate flakes. Nothing more to add, I was not expecting anything over than that from burger restaurant. Just good 👍🏻 and located super central with a lot of parking spots around. I had a good...
Read morePros: Nice ambiance and great decor, and the food was tasty with good portions!
Neutrals: Most of the burgers on offer are quite simple, and they're a bit more expensive when compared to other similar places.
Cons: The drinks on offer are extremely overpriced and I honestly felt robbed. Table service was sub-par and it wasn't too busy, so I can't give them that excuse.
Overall, can't fully recommend.
Bill information: They automatically add a 5% tip/gratification/gorjeta but they tell you it's there and you don't have to pay. In Portugal it's customary to give a tip to the waiter for their good service. Adding a tip and giving you the option to not pay seems like a ploy to pray on people to be ashamed to request to remove it.
For the management: Who gets the 5% gratification you automatically add to the bill? Is it given to whoever waited on the table as to reward their quality service, or is it split equally between the waiters to help you keep costs down by having customers help make their salary something worth...
Read moreMy experience at Honorato wasn't great. The burger used to be bigger and tastier, but now it's smaller and doesn't taste as good. The fries were also disappointing—cold, greasy, and not crispy at all. They gave the bill with two amounts and reminded us that one amount is actual for the meal and another is extra service fee. When it was time to pay, they reminded us again about the extra service fee and asked which amount we wanted to pay. I felt like they were pressuring us to give them more money in the name of service fee, which is not fair and maybe even against the rules in Portugal.
In Portugal, service taxes are always included in the actual bill, they still asked for extra money. It seems like they're trying to create a US culture in Europe, that's not right for Europe.
I think the government should step in and stop these Wrong, immoral practices. Customers shouldn't feel like they're being tricked into...
