I recently stayed at this hotel for the Taylor Swift concert and I was not disappointed. The location is prime! There’s a metro stop quite literally right outside the door of the hotel which provides easy access to all of lisbon. There are so many cute restaurants and cafes within an easy 5 minute walk or less, and several are open late. The rooms were very comfortable and modern, the AC was wonderful and absolutely silent. While the rooftop pool area is pretty small, it’s a cute space and is great for topping up your tan. The staff were all friendly and helpful and spoke good English which was so important since I don’t speak Portuguese (special shoutout to the female staff member with the dark super curly hair, unfortunately didn’t get her name). If you’re coming for an event at Estadio Da Luz, talk to the front desk as they are familiar with which metro stop you should get off at based on your ticket type, which saved me so much walking for Taylor’s concert! The only area where I can suggest improvements for would be the breakfast offerings. The selection was pretty limited, and I probably wouldn’t recommend it for more extended stays when there are so many local cafes nearby. I ended up either skipping breakfast or dining at a nearby restaurant for my morning meal since I wore out the options after one day. They did have dairy alternative milk which was a plus. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a modern and comfortable stay near the city center, and would definitely return on my next...
Read moreThe best part of the property was the location - right next to the train station with lots of food options and a couple of grocery stores about 5 mins away.
However, the soundproofing is pretty bad - we could hear full conversations from the time anyone got out of the lift, all the way to their room (and sometimes inside).
The worst part had to be the housekeeping. It was terribly inconsistent.
One day we would find the water replaced, another day nothing.
One day our towels would be replaced, another day left there.
One day the cups would be washed, another day the cups would be taken away completely and not replaced.
Additionally, housekeeping had a really bad habit of talking on their phones on speaker all through the morning while they were working on other rooms. We could hear everything (including whatever was coming out through the phone's speakers), which was not a pleasant experience.
One day we actually opened the door to ask them to keep it down - needless to say it went ignored.
When the service desk asked us if anything could be improved, we brought up the noise from housekeeping - their expression suggested that they've heard this multiple times.
Overall, I can't recommend this hotel for their poor...
Read moreThis hotel stay was the worst part of our visit to Lisbon in August 2021. Apparently the hotel doesn't allow customers to adjust the AC level in their rooms - it's all managed at the front desk. They didn't inform us of this until our last night there and the manager happended to be work that night. After the first sweltering hot night, we took a picture of the AC settings and showed it to the front desk to confirm it wasn't user error. We were told our settings were correct but the front desk associates didn't inform us that the issue was that they were controlling our settings. When we informed the front desk during our last night - hoping to get one night of comfortable sleep - the manager then informed us that they control the AC settings for all rooms and that perhaps our settings were on heat. This was an insult to our intelligence since we clearly showed their agents a picture of our settings on the first night. The customer serve here is terrible and it's not worth any discounted price you may pay. Also, there were two flies in our shower and a bug in my bed. We could literally dismiss the bugs if only our AC had worked and we hadn't had to suffer every night...
