Most horrible restaurant ever. The sushi’s are super thin and with large amount of rise. Not good quality at all. The grilled meat and fish is over grilled and poor in quality. When we wanted to pay we could not pay by card “because of international restrictions” I am from The Netherlands and in europe all the banks have the same maestro system. Tried to explain, but she was resisting to try the cards or Apple pay at all! Then she walked me outside to show a ATM machine in one of the windows outside the restaurant. Which gave me the opportunity to understand that they “rip off” tourist by 1: only accepting black money. (more income) 2: they receive a fee by the ATM company because it is placed in the restaurant window. Ok. I thought this was it. I had a nice evening besides the sushi and the cold light and payment issues. But then the biggest thing started back in the hotel. We got really, really sick! We must have been eating something bad. I haven’t felt that ill in ages. I will spare you the details. But one thing I can tell you. Avoid at all costs!! I am definitely not a person that is critical, but again....
Read moreVery Good VALUE Japanese Food Restaurant, specially at Lunchtime. "ALL You can Eat" - "À la Carte" (by Order; NOT Buffet).
Specializes in (Fusion) Sushi and Teppanyaki; Also has some other Dishes (like Gyoza) with a Few of Chinese Origin/inspiration. Salmon (and Braised/"Flambée" Salmon) Sashimi (and Nigiri) are VERY Fresh and Tasty. Tuna (Sashimi and/or Nigiri) "Freshness" can Vary Wildly though – sometimes it is Very Fresh and Tasty, and other times it has a "Sandy"/Grainy Texture and is Not Savoury at all; Miso (Omiso) soup also "exists" (but I don't find the one from here that good - might depend on each Person's Taste); Drinks, even Green Tea or iced-Tea, are somewhat Expensive, in contrast to the Price for a "All You can Eat" Lunch – and this doesn't include refills, BTW.
(If You can,) Try to go only when really Hungry and with a pretty empty stomach and eat as few Pieces with Rice (like Makis, for example). → So as to get as much Value from the "ALL You can Eat"...
Read moreWorst sushi experience I've had, probably worst experience eating out generally.
Customer service started off a bit lousy but I didn't mind. The sushi came to the table, with it a strong and unnatural smell of fish (like one that has been sitting out for some time). The taste resembled the smell, so after a few bites I had to forfeit the entire plate.
Upon telling this to the waiter, instead of apologising or offering some other dish, he asked me if I'd like (to buy) dessert.
Then, after refusing dessert and having barely eaten, I went to pay. Thinking maybe it was just the waiter who didn't have great customer service skills I reiterated my unpleasant experience to the owner, only to end up speaking to a cold and uninterested face which went on to charge me the full price without as much as an apology or acknowledgement of my lousy experience.
Avoid this place, bad food, and bad service to...
