Exe Saldanha — Hotel in Lisbon

I recently stayed at Exe Saldanha, a 3 star hotel and found it to be quite impressive. The location is perfect, since you have plenty of parking lots around (paid car park Monday-Friday 9h-19h), and the underground is within 2min walk distance. The mattress was excellent and the pillows were very comfortable, making for a great night's sleep. The room was super clean and had all the necessary toiletries, with additional ones available upon request. The breakfast was amazing, with a rich and varied selection of food.

We experienced an unfortunate incident of a major leak in the lobby just as we were about to check in. We asked if it would be better to find another hotel because we would have to be without water for a couple of hours, until they solved the problem. The hotel offered us the option of moving to their hotel on Av. da Liberdade with paid taxi, or 50% discount on that night. We chose to stay because of the hotel's location convenience, and we didn't regret it. Rebeca and Ana (reception staff) were super friendly and always willing to help, as were the other staff members at the reception. The restaurant staff were also incredibly attentive, Murilo stood out for his attention to detail and cleanliness of the tables, and for receiving customers with a smile on his face. The lady who cleaned our room was super polite and friendly (I apologize for not writing down her name). We loved our 3night stay and will definitely be back. Overall, I believe this hotel deserves another star for the quality of amenities...

🏨 I had a wonderful stay at Exe Saldanha. Prior to my arrival, the communication with the Reservation team was excellent - obrigada to Lucas and Bruna. Leo at reception was really friendly as well.

📍Location - Even though it isn't right in the centre, I actually liked being away from the hustle bustle. Saldana is a calm and safe area, well-connected by metro or a short taxi ride. The hotel is opposite a big Continente supermarket, very handy and a Fire Station. There are lots of nice restaurants nearby and the Metro is round the corner Ⓜ️

The hotel is modern and bright, 7 floors in total. I had a really comfy room on the top floor with lovely views of the surrounding area. The room was spotless and had a small desk, nice wardrobe, small TV, big comfortable bed and nice bathroom. It is true there is no fridge to store water etc but for me it wasn't an issue. I liked little details such as complimentary water, tissues, nice hairdryer and cosmetics 👏🏻

Breakfast is buffet style down in the modern restaurant and quite a generous time frame (from 7am until 10.30am Mon to Fri, until 11am at the weekend). There is a little selection of hot food (scrambled eggs, bacon, tomatoes, sausages), then nice choice of cheese / ham, bread, pastries including mini pasteis 😍, fruit, yoghurt, juices, tea and coffee. In the lobby, there is scented water for guests.

Overall, good value for money in a 3* star that feels like a 4* in...

Rarely have I had such an overwhelmingly positive experience with the hotel staff such that it has so dramatically overcome the technical and physical difficulties experienced with the rooms I've rented. Normally, if I have a problem with the room and have moved once and I experience another problem I would never return to that hotel. And if I have more than two problems, I will most assuredly never stay there again.

However, Dario, the manager at the hotel, promptly solved all of the problems that we had with such a pleasant disposition that it was difficult to remain upset about the problems.

We returned on our fourth night in Lisbon for a one specific reason: Milena and Mario, the restaurant staff who greeted us each morning for breakfast were incredibly friendly, extremely polite, and extraordinarily informative about Lisbon.

I was amazed by how pleasant they were. It was as if we were treated like family by them.

I would like for you to know that Milena, Mario, and Dario made our trip so wonderful, that I'm going come back to stay before I leave Europe!
