Before we went to this restaurant for our St Valentine dinner, we had been advised to order the dishes of the day as these were invariably very special. . And so we did. Very tasty starters, excellent tuna steak in some lightly vinegry dressing, a perfect seasoned steak. We asked the chef to chose our red wine for us, with a price guidance of 50 euros - and we were given a super VZ wine from the Douro Valley. The special St Valentine dessert was also very good although by that time , we could not take in any more food. The atmosphere was distinctly geared towards Valentine , with elegantly dressed tables - bearing lots of red hearts cut outs and shining stars - the tables being separated from each other by large vases containing high flowers. As we left , I was given a high stemmed rose to give to my partner. The staff was extremely friendly but then, we found this helpful and friendly spurit was everywhere to be found in Lisbon . Cost of the meal all...

Everything about this restaurant is nice ( take into account that it's a little bit expensive). I love that it's a corner restaurant with no more than 8 tables. When you enter you feel in a cozy restaurant with a perfect decoration. Besides having excellent food the service was very personalized and the chef is always going to you table asking how everything thing was and open to make recommendation. We had 2 entrees, a main dish and 2 desserts. to start, the entrees were very tasty we had a duck and then some peppers that were a little spicy. Then as main dish we order a meat rice that was spectacular but it's very big so you can share 2-3 people. The for dessert we had a chocolate cake that I must say is one of the best I've tried and a nut, almond mixture that I personally didn't like but it was good. The wine selection in the restaurant is magnificent but of course it's expensive...

We came across this restaurant as our hotel was only a few meters away. Our initial plan was to have a Glas of wine and some olives or so as we were still full from our lunch. Once in we were presented some of the tapas and could choose from the plate what we liked. Some hot tapas were added on and everything was delicious.

Communication was a bit of a challenge as no one in the restaurant was fluent in English and our Portuguese is very limited. But the owner handled it very well, he offered us wine, added on food. It was a bit of a surprise menu but since every single dish was so delicious it didn’t matter at all. At the end of the evening we felt like locals, as no other tourist was...

Let me be honest: I had the best tuna steak in my my life here. I don’t know how they do it, it was better than perfect: each piece was a pure pleasure. Exceptionally delicious! Starters were tasty too, but desserts - oh my god, they were extremely good. The restaurant is very small and cozy, the staff hardly speaks English but it was not a problem at all - we managed to understand each other well. Many local families who are friends to the owner (or chef) were having lunch on Saturday there, very relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. But food… Something really special!

This restaurant was recommended by Guillermo at the Doubletree. We couldn't have enjoyed anything in Lisbon more than this. They explain everything that they have and you select. They have many, many courses so you can try multiple flavors. The owner, Pedro, greeted us immediately upon arrival. He also has his family there helping. They allowed us to take photos with everyone before we left. Everyone was very busy at the time of the photos. That's extremely difficult to do at a restaurant. Thanks for everything you guys! You have a beautiful family!
