Great location, but old building in need of renovation with security deficiencies. Very convenient location on a nice square with a fountain. There are many cafes, restaurants and shops all around. This part of Lisbon is not yet too touristy but still very lively. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable. I really liked the high stucco ceilings of this old building. Unfortunately, there were cobwebs hanging from the high stucco ceilings. There was an old T-shirt hanging on the back of the bathroom door, probably from one of the previous guests! The staff was not overly friendly. I had the impression that I had disturbed something important despite the arrival time communicated in advance. Unfortunately, the historic room doors were very warped and the lock was not in the right place. So there was always a certain air gap. This can be done better in an old building if one wants to. The hallway lighting to the corridor in front of the room did not work. Only in the next right-angled corridor was there motion-controlled light. Especially bad: The winding corridors on the second floor led to a locked door. This was the demarcation of the pension which is partly on the 2nd floor and includes the entire 3rd floor of the house. This door had to be locked at all times. Otherwise burglars would have had an easy time with the inadequate locking of the room doors. What happens in case of fire ? If you make it from the partly unlit corridor to the final door of the boarding house in the staircase, it is very likely that it is locked and whether you can...
Read moreNot suited for children, elders or anyone with a physical disability/low motor skills. There is no elevator and you have to go up 3 flights of stairs, with steps: along the hallway, entering the room and to use the bathroom. A person can easily trip and fall (even if the lights are on).| There was a used condom, a cup full of cigarette buds behind the beds and the sheets smelled musty, which indicates the cleaning isn't done properly. There were also electric cables on the floor and the electric plugs were loosen from the wall.| It doesn't serve breakfast and there is no microwave nor mini-fridge. The shower is small and closed in and it is a place that doesn't isolate sound properly, so you'll hear all the cars on the street and the water pipes when using water in the facility.| Although we stayed for only one night we wouldn't recommend it. Just find something...
Read moreThis was a real disappointment. The pictures in the website are not even closed to the real thing. To begging with the entrance had a lot to be desired with trash in one corner. To get to the hotel portion of the building you will have to walk up tree floors (no elevator). Were greeted at a lock door and proceed to register (the hand held device to collect the tourist charge did not work. when shown to the room the lights did not work, the fan did not work (no air conditioning) and the bed was hard as a rock. The miniature bath room had a window the open to the out site emergency stairs. We immediately left for another hotel (even thou stay in this hotel was already paid). would not recommend anyone make reservations for...
