KUBO — Restaurant in Lisbon

DO NOT GO TO ANY K GROUP ESTABLISHMENT INCLUDING THIS (KUBO), K URBAN, KAIS, OR ANY ELSE.

My friends and I were weary to go to any K Group establishment because we were aware of the problems with security. We decided to go to Kubo as a group, and we wish we didn’t.

We had a friend that was over served and had to throw up. We decided to try and step outside by the smoking area to not cause a scene. The security aggressively yelled at us to the extent we were scared. We tried to run away because we heard the horror stories of security becoming physically aggressive. They aggressively threw us on the ground and physically beat multiple members of our group.

We tried to exclaim the situation to the security and they replied “if you want to talk you will feel my fist to your face, do you want that?”

They then demanded we pay them €300 each because of “our actions.” We tried to explain again and they laughed.

I then inserted my card to pay because I didn’t want any issues. They then took the machine and inputted random PIN numbers until the machine automatically went through. They then charged me 3 transactions which accumulated to $900 and laughed as they did it. My banks fraud department is looking into this.

I asked for my card back and they looked at me and said “you would like that wouldn’t you?” And then walked over to the ocean and threw my card into it. They laughed and walked away.

Last night, my friends and I were looking for a nightclub to party. When we arrived at this place, we found a bad organization on the part of the security that sent us from one place to another to be able to enter. In addition, one of them spoke to us in very bad ways. But this is not the worst, since we are used to meeting disrespectful bouncers. The best thing was when my friends were talking to the security to see if we could enter by lists and thus pay less, while a friend and I were dancing. When the security guy saw us, he assured me that I was drunk and that I couldn't go in either because I was wearing a black tank top, to which we were all speechless. It seems to me a homophone episode that we should not ignore. Let's normalize that a guy can wear a tank top, please. Don't judge or prejudge and leave...

Don’t ever go here. Aggressive and rude security and staff. They give a piece of paper at the entrance, if you lose it by accident you can’t leave without paying 50 euros 🤔 (it would have been nice if they told you this at the entrance). When we finally found these tickets they were so annoyed with us that they still didn’t want to let us out. I got upset because of this and tried to get out, they grabbed me like I committed a crime (honestly the only thing I wanted to do was go home after 30 mins of dancing🥲 I was sober this evening so I was extra confused as to why i was being treated like this by big security guys) Anyway, I see the other reviews, and this place is a bad joke...
