My sister and I went on two seperate private tours with Sofia, a food tour of Lisbon and one of Sinatra/Cascias, and couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable time. From the moment Sofia picked us up on our first tour ( food, city culture and historical sites of the city) we all bacame fast friends. She has such a wonderful personality, so fun to be around, while at the same time is a wealth of information. The Sinatra/ Cascias tour was just as amazing. We learned so much, as Sofia is a true historian of all things Portuguese. We loved our two castle tours, beach time and lunch and shopping in Cascias. She introduced us to wonderful food, pastries and taught the right way to order coffee in Portugal and even helped us with restaurants recomdations and reservations.

I highly recommend Portugal Guided Tours, not only will you have a very enjoyable experience touring the beautiful cities and their surroundings you will also leave with a new appreciation of Portuguese history and culture.

I’m not one to normally write blogs but I feel this acknowledgment is warranted. My wife and I had the best day possible with our guided tour to Sintra all thanks to our guide Patrick and the lovely company of the other guests on this tour, Deb & Ruthanne from Texas. BTW Really fun girls. Patrick was brilliant, articulate, knowledgeable and above all very considerate of all in his care. After our tour we regrouped for dinner and enjoyed each other’s company until late in the night. Patrick is a natural host and he continued to make sure we were experiencing the best hospitality Lisbon had to offer. We were delighted of his company and humour over dinner. The tour company was very efficient , professional and extremely helpful in scheduling our tour despite some connectivity issues I had with my cell phone. I'm normally the planner for our vacations. I read all the books, do research, and have plans for each day. However, for our recent trip to Portugal, I did none of this. When I was connected with Sofia from Portugal Guided Tours, I jumped at the opportunity. She was incredibly helpful in answering our questions, making suggestions, and helping us plan two unforgettable private tours. Her attention to detail was fantastic and off we went to Nazaré and Sintra. Our tour guide, João, was equally incredible. We were so happy he could share his love and vast knowledge of Portugal with us. Sometimes it's a gamble to spend two days with someone that you've never met. We never felt that way with João.
