really don't go to this restaurant with its fake reviews and completely fabricated reputation. A rating close to 5 on Google? That's simply fraudulent. On Uber Eats, the actual rating is more honest: a 3, and that's already too generous.
First big red flag: the photos of the dishes in the reviews bear no relation to what's actually served. It's then that it's average in size, barely there, and visually disgusting. Nothing was lively; everything looked like it came from a bad, low-end canteen.
I'm Portuguese, I know what I'm talking about. This restaurant offers nothing authentic. The food is a poor caricature of Portuguese gastronomy. Even the simplest dishes are ruined. Questionable flavors, approximate cooking, poor-quality ingredients... I was even afraid of getting sick, that's saying something. I ate nothing. Absolutely nothing. My stomach said no from the first bite.
And to top it all off, no one in the restaurant speaks Portuguese. In a restaurant that pretends to be Portuguese, it's a monumental joke. No culture, no respect for the cuisine, no effort. It creates the feeling that it's emerging, superficial, and purely commercial.
The service reflects the cuisine: contemptuous, sloppy, and unprofessional. No effort to satisfy the customer; you accumulate rewards in terms of comments. You're royally ignored.
Ultimately, the prices are completely outrageous for such unique quality. You're literally being ripped off, and with a smile to boot.
Frankly, I wonder how this place can still exist. It's an insult to Portuguese cuisine, a disastrous experience, and a place to...
Read moreRead moreOk guys, I have only 200 reviews mainly on restaurants on Google Maps including Michelin star rated ones but 700.000 clicks on my pics, which in theory would mean I understand at least basically what good food is about. so here it comes : Poco serves traditional Portuguese food at a very good quality for a very decent price. We, my wife and myself, had Bacalau a Bras and Sardines for a moderate price at a very good quality; so if this would be otherwise I would understand the- let’s put it - not so optimal attendance by other guests but I am completely irritated why good quality food does not coincide with an equal high attendance by other customers; so do yourself a favor: please give this restaurant a try you won’t regret it and if you do text me I will personally compensate...
Cozy restaurant with lovely staff and a relaxing atmosphere. It may seem a little basic to start with bread and butter, but this house-made butter with fresh garlic and herbs is unreal!
The pastéis de bacalhau, lightly battered and fried, are delicious crispy morsels of creamy cod.
My friend and I both chose the bacalbau á brás from the specials menu — a must-have. It’s served with salad on the side and it is so delicious!
The brunch offerings look delicious, but I recommend Poço for dinner if you’re in the area. It’s kind of off the beaten path but worth a visit! I also really appreciated that the music was played at a reasonable volume. Clean restrooms. Thank you for the...
