Profoundly Disappointing Dining Experience 😞🍽
I've frequented this restaurant multiple times, yet the quality of the food has consistently failed to impress me. Compared to other eateries on Rua do Benformoso, it's quite pricey. 🤑 Apart from a select few, the majority of the staff lack professional conduct. It seems they're missing essential communication skills. 🗣️ Particularly, there's one waiter, seemingly from Bhrambanbaria, who occasionally mans the cash counter. His attitude is frankly appalling, giving off the vibe that he knows it all. 🙄
During my last visit, I ordered Beef Kala Bhuna, expecting an authentic Bangladeshi flavour. However, it was remarkably bland, lacking the distinctive mustard oil aroma and was instead overwhelmingly spiced with Garam Masala. 🍲 When I raised my concerns, his response was dismissive, merely smiling without taking my feedback seriously. This wasn't my first encounter with his indifference; I've noticed it before.
My first attempt with their Biryani left me with acidity, just days after their opening. Similarly, their grilled items also led to discomfort. Clearly, the food's quality does not justify the price. 🚫
They charge between 1.2 and 1.5 Euros for a plate of rice, which often falls short in quantity for many of us. And when enquiring about the possibility of a refill, the response from the waiter was curt and unfriendly.
If you're seeking delicious food, excellent customer service, and value for money within this area, I'd recommend checking out Tasty Hut or Rupashi Bangla...
Read moreThis is a fantastic Bangladeshi restaurant, but be prepared—it can sometimes be hard to find an empty seat due to the high traffic of customers. However, you’ll actually enjoy the crowd because it feels just like home. The lively atmosphere reminds me of being at Star Kabab in Dhaka or a similar popular spot back in Bangladesh. It’s a great place to soak in that familiar, bustling vibe while enjoying great food.
They serve authentic South Asian dishes with a distinct Bangladeshi flavor, and all the food is halal. While service can be a bit delayed because of how busy they are, once you taste the food, the wait is totally worth it. The flavors are rich and satisfying, and it really brings back the taste of home.
The staff are very caring and attentive, checking in multiple times during your meal to make sure everything is going well or to see if you need anything. They also have toilet facilities, which adds to the comfort of the experience.
If you're looking for a place with delicious halal Bangladeshi food and an atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re back in Dhaka, this is the place to be. Just be prepared for some busyness during peak hours, but it all adds...
Read moreI went to eat there yesterday with my husband and we are both sick. Their food tastes good, no complaints about that and we do eat there time to time. The specific menu that we ate I think is the problem with the Kebabs and naans with Raita. There service is not good and it's not a secret cause if you order a variety of things you have to ask for them multiple times to get that to your table. It's not due to late service, it's just that the waiters forgets about it. The service is for sure slow but it is somewhat understandable due to the rush but in general most of the waiters are not that attentive. I have also seen waiters having little clashes because the attentive one's have to do more work and check on everything and the others were just complaining for being instructed. I really feel like the owner should do a deep dive into the situation and fix this. This observation of mine is not only based on one visit, rather than multiple visits and I feel they need a lot of improvement and...
