A Perfect Stay at Hotel Midis – Peaceful, Clean, and Exceptional Service

We booked knowing there was no ensuite bathroom, and honestly, that worked out beautifully. The shared facilities were spotless, and the room itself stayed fresh and odor-free — something you don’t always get with in-room bathrooms.

The room was also incredibly quiet and cool, with no noise or heat issues. We slept better here than in many higher-end hotels. The bed was comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was calm and relaxing.

What truly stood out was the service — the staff were so kind and helpful, even assisting us with our luggage both when we arrived and when we left. That level of care made the experience feel really personal.

I went to Midis around easter 2015 and got myself a comfortable room, and told the staff I was going to stay for a couple of weeks. After I signed in, I went upstairs and started unpacking, which took me a long time. This was easter eve, the day before I had the worst hotel experience I've ever had in my life. I spent the night very well, rested a bit from such a long journey all the way from the Algarve. In the morning, the waitress knocks on my door and tells me I have to leave because they had other people that wanted the room! I was so upset, but didn't argue. I unpacked all over again and had to go looking for a new hotel without any plans! It was just terrible, since it was easter and everything was booked! I had to call a friend to pick me up and stayed in his place....

Location is 2 mins walk from Martim Moniz metro station which is also a starting point for famous tram no. 28. also it is important that this is located in flat area so you dont walk a hill up and down for town centre which is 10mins walk or 5mins by metro. i had room at 4th floor so had a beautiful view, big spacious room, fans were there but no air conditioner, no hair dyer and no shampoo in washroom which was shared. old building, no lift, good bakery cum cafe house next to property. breakfast was not included so bakery was quite handy and they were...
