Tabernita — Restaurant in Lisbon

The place was really chaotic and the waiters weren't able to have everything under control. After we sat down, we had to wait 7 minutes to receive the menu and then other 6 minutes to order. Meanwhile a family that sat down after us was already served. The food wasn't that good: the steak was difficult to eat because of its thickness. But I guess it depends on the plate because we ordered two steaks: one was like I already described, but the other was good. The portions were perfect and sometimes even more than the average. They don't cook many different types of plates so the choice was very restricted but all the prices were very reasonable for a town like Lisbon (almost everything was 9 euros). If you are person saw so much in whole world, you will be very happy in Tabernita. Staff is wonderfull! Atmosphere, too. You will eat fresh food, prepared today, so tasty. You feel yourself as part of this magic atmosphere, as member of that soul family. Music in Tabernita will make you feel as you retourn to your family and home. Everybody are welcome. 5,000 STARS!!!!! We spent our first night in Portugal at Tabernita and we are so glad we did.

After communicating via Whatsapp, we had a special honeymoon table reserved for 2 outside. They offered suggestions on food, rose and even things to see and do throughout Portugal.

It was easy to see why this place had so many great reviews. The vibe was friendly, celebratory and just plain fun. When you can tell the staff is enjoying themselves, you somehow enjoy yourself even more. It's like they've invited you to their private party!

On top of all that, the food is outstanding. We had the Duck Rice and Cod Fish. Both portions were generous and flavor-filled.
