My wife and I recently revisited the Thai Garden in Lisbon, a place I was already acquainted with, and we found ourselves once again enchanted by their offerings. We indulged in a traditional pan-fried shrimp with oyster sauce, which as always, did not disappoint. The chicken with pineapple in a sweet-and-sour sauce was delightful, although the cost, coupled with the need to order accompaniments separately, made it a rather pricey affair at 19 euros.
For refreshment, we opted for a sangria made from red fruits, sparkling wine, and Licor Beirão, a regional liqueur, quite a bargain at 14 euros per litre.
Though adorned with simple yet functional elements from Thailand, Thai Garden resides on the higher end of the price spectrum in Lisbon, approaching the cost of dining at some of the city's three-star establishments. The quality is undoubtedly high, but one should be mindful that there are alternative options within the city that offer a similar experience at a lesser cost. Personnel Very friendly staff who recommended very good dishes. They are very based on their hygiene. Every time a dish was sent, the staff cleaned their hands to minimize contamination.
Food We tried the red curry with shrimp and pad Thai with shrimp. As dessert we had the sweet warm rice with mango.
The pad Thai was very good and very large portion. The red curry was delicious, but the portion was a bit small for my liking. The dessert was amazing. Combination of sweet rice with mango is so good. Definitely recommend...
