Angus Steakhouse — Restaurant in Loulé

Lovely restaurant! It looks to be a rather unassuming place in some regards, but if you are looking for the best steak house in Vilamoura, you’ve just found it in our opinion. The service is great and Issor, the chap running front of house, can’t do enough for you. Simply saying he goes ‘above and beyond’ really doesn’t give him enough credit.

There are some rather flashy steakhouses in and around the marina, but none of the ones we visited came close to this place regarding the atmosphere and the quality of the food, the fillet, sirloin and lamb chops, in particular are amazing.

We are looking to book another week in Vilamoura, for next year, just like this time, this will be the first spot we visit....

Where to start, First impression it the place is very clean an well presented. Myself and the wife were seated strait away by the owner who I have to say was a pleasure to deal with and could not do enough for us. We ordered the house white wine (a bottle)that was really nice. I ordered the Mussels for starters, that were delicious they came in a lovely thick creamy white sauce and basket of warm bread. For the mains the wife had the ribs(she said they were the best she has ever had) I had the 300g Ribeye and have to say it was cooked to perfection and tasted as stake should, I will be back for more. Had an excellent meal at Assado. Both of us had Ribeye steaks(2x sizes) with salad and fries then finished off with an amazing apple pie. Also had a few beers but there is a range of drinks. The staff are very polite, friendly and efficient. It is a short walk from the Marina and is only a small frontage. You can eat inside or outside.
