Restaurante Colombo — Restaurant in Loulé

I hate to write bad reviews and avoid speaking negatively about an establishment if I can but I had to bring this to the attention of other potential diners. We came to Colombos for breakfast a few days ago and the food was quite good but the service was poor. The waitress seemed confused by the menu and our order (3 English Breakfasts and a steak sandwich). So tonight we decided to give it a go for dinner and hoped for the best.

We were greeted with a grunt by our waiter who once again seemed confused by our order. I got the feeling that no one seemed to know the menu. We ordered drinks and food and looked forward to it. Fast forward 40 mins and there's no sign of food or drinks. Eventually, for our table of 5, we received 2 drinks and 3 meals to be then told that the restaurant had run out of chicken which meant 2 of us had to re order. We enquired about the remaining drinks and received a shrug. 2 drinks arrived but they were wrong. One drink never arrived and we gave up asking.

In fairness, the food was actually nice but when we expressed our disappointment to our waiter he told us to look around at how busy they were. However please note that it wasn't that busy when we arrived and ordered first. The manager was pleasant and apologetic and in fairness didn't charge us for our drinks but unfortunately it was too little too...

One of the WORST dining experiences I have ever had!! Waitresses was sarcastic and had a smart mouth! Food took forever to come out and we were the only ones in there..When the food did come to our table, the food was not hot at all! Lacked flavor and the prices were ridiculous for the size portions you receive!! We ate a couple of bites and decided to leave. Complete rip off and waste of money and time!! I'm surprised they are still in business....Oh, it's probably because the manager stands outside handing out cards that are stamped "First drink on us". This is to bait you into their empty restaurant and charge you a ridiculous price for food and recoup their "free drink" money back from you and make extra off your meal as well. Just dreadful!! Never again!!

If someone wrote the review I just did about your restaurante, I would act like they had the wrong place too! Truth is, I know where I was at, the service and food was poor and those stack of pre-stamped cards are also located at the desk to the left as you enter the restaurant.

Also, you said the cameras were checked and I wasn't there right? Might need to check them again. Because I have a charge on my debit card from THIS restaurante and will post in your photos. So, stop with the lies and...

I am gonna write this review to the owner. I am really dissapointed of his behaviour.

I order tuna steak, waiter told me that tuna steak is fresh. So I ordered medium. But that tuna steak comes overcooked and with lot of onions on it, smells bad and taste bitter and sour. Later on, waiter comes and apologize me that chief put on vinegar on it and told me that boss(owner) come to talk with me. After that I order another fish, that was ok and other food was ok. But I must wait for another food more then 1 hour and 30 minutes. Waiters was nice, but owner didnt come and send waiter with 3 really small glases of port wine and some cheese. When we want to pay, I saw full price on the bill without any discount, when I ask for the discount, the waiter goes to the owner a he say, we dont get anything(discount) because we got port wine and some cheese for free.

So, after all of that I am really dissapointend of your behaviour dear “Boss”. I never came back and I will talk to everybody my bad experience. You are coward for me. And you should be very thankfull for your stuff especially waiters! They are greatc but you dont....
