Despite visiting Vilamoura many times before, I had never tried this spot. The very good Google reviews made me take a second look, and I’m really glad that I did.
This is a smart little bistro restaurant, with lovely decoration, including lots of wine bits. The menu is all traditional Portuguese cooking such as fish pasta stew, black pork (secrets of our Alejento), grilled whole fish, or clams ‘bulhão pato’ style. We asked for the main menu but because there were so few people eating, only another four men as well as my husband and myself, we weren't sure about how long food had been kept so we stuck with the specials. The oven cooked loin was very tough and the spiritual fish was pretty tasteless. Although there were lots of bottles of wine on the shelves, there wasn't a wine list. It was cheap, but that's the best I can...
