Despite visiting Vilamoura many times before, I had never tried this spot. The very good Google reviews made me take a second look, and I’m really glad that I did. This is a smart little bistro restaurant, with lovely decoration, including lots of wine bits. The menu is all traditional Portuguese cooking such as fish pasta stew, black pork (secrets of our Alejento), grilled whole fish, or clams ‘bulhão pato’ style. Everything was excellently cooked, and the ‘Secrets of our Alejento’ black pork dish was gorgeous. The wine is all Portuguese, very well priced, and nicely varied. Definitely worth a visit if you want to try some Portuguese wines. Will most certainly be returning.

Excellent restaurant away from the marina in Vilamoura. We decided not to go to the popular, tourist restaurants & to try somewhere more traditional. The service was excellent. We were given time to view the menu & to discuss which wines to have with each course. The owner showed us which wines we were having & an explanation of how to prepare the starter. The food was very good & generous. On paying the bill, we were given a complimentary drink. They made us feel very welcome.

Very nice local Portuguese restaurant in Villamoura. Very friendly staff anf service. We had olives and macrel for starters next to a glass of white wine and for main we ordered rice with razor clams for 2 people (35€). Exceptional service! We had some trouble eating the rice (clams had some sand as it sometimes happens) so the dish was immediately replaced with seafood rice stew which tasted amazing! Felt very welcomed and taken care of, thank you! ❤️

What can I say…the night before we were unsuccessful in dining here(they was fully booked), then we learned our lesson and we booked online. So as not to bore you too much, it was a perfect dinner: 4 people, a pork knuckle cooked for 16 hours, a grilled cod fillet cooked just right, an impeccable tuna steak plus a variety of delicious local desserts. Not to mention the variety of wines which is extremely diverse. The total price for 4 people was more than acceptabile: what if I told you that we also attended an evening with live Portuguese love music? I fell in love with you, I can't wait to go back to Portugal to visit you again. Best...

Looked for this restaurant because of the good reviews but was very disappointed. We were only offered the plate of the day menu but three of the five were unavailable. We asked for the main menu but because there were so few people eating, only another four men as well as my husband and myself, we weren't sure about how long food had been kept so we stuck with the specials. The oven cooked loin was very tough and the spiritual fish was pretty tasteless. Although there were lots of bottles of wine on the shelves, there wasn't a wine list. It was cheap, but that's the best I can...
