Luna Rossa, Vilamoura Marina
Luna Rossa enjoys a prime spot in the heart of Vilamoura Marina, and it's no surprise that it’s often buzzing with activity. With its sleek outdoor seating just steps from the water’s edge, it's the kind of place that draws you in for the atmosphere alone. When the sun is shining—and it often is—this restaurant offers one of the best spots to unwind and soak in the sights of the marina, with yachts gently bobbing in the background. Despite how busy it was, the front-of-house service was impressive: welcoming, efficient, and professional. We were seated quickly, and the service remained prompt and friendly throughout the evening. It never felt rushed, but we also didn’t find ourselves waiting unnecessarily—always a delicate balance in a high-traffic location like this. Our meal started with the bruschetta, which, while flavorful, leaned a little too heavily on the bread for our liking. It lacked the lightness we’d expected, but it was still a decent opener. The standout, however, was definitely the pizza. Fresh, well-cooked, and full of flavor—especially after adding a dash of pepper and a generous drizzle of chili oil. The thin base had just the right amount of crisp, and the toppings were well balanced. Price-wise, Luna Rossa offers good value considering its prime location and the quality of service. It didn’t feel overly expensive, and the overall experience made it feel worthwhile. One tip for those wanting that perfect table right next to the yachts: aim to arrive around 6 p.m. The best seats are taken quickly, and by later in the evening, you’ll likely be seated more centrally. All in all, Luna Rossa delivered a great evening—tasty food, beautiful views, and attentive service. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a relaxed but lively dining spot in...
Read moreWe walked to the harbor from a nearby hotel, just looking to have a break from the hotel buffet for lunch. We were looking around for a few minutes and chose Luna Rossa as the menu looked good, and there weren't staff outside hassling us in like other restaurants nearby.
The service was quick, and the staff were very friendly. We could see our pizzas being made with fresh dough and cooked in a large fire oven. They arrived promptly and were very good. Possibly the best pizzas my wife and I have had in a long time. My wife had the capricciosa which had a generous portion of artichokes and I had the 4 formaggi which had a fantastic amount of cheese, which both tasted delicious and also had a good cheese pull.
When we were all done, we did not have to wait long for the bill when requested, and the staff accepted our tip with gratitude.
Thanks for the very...
Read moreFriendly hotel, Great location hosting large clean rooms and balconies..I was on the top floor in a two bed front facing appatment with beautiful views of the harbour. This hotel is very comfortable, however, definitely not a hotel to bring your holidaying family to, this hotel is for the grown-up's. This pleasant hotel is surrounded by an English pub an additional eateries(very nice and friendly) easy access to locals shop beach and restaurants.
The pool area is clean but could do with a residents only bar...Basic but good breakfast...The hotel breakfast staff and manager (who was very professional and charming) did go that extra mile to accommodate request, but night staff need to be more alert ( not asleep) especially for the female residents returning after an evening out...overall...
