My wife and I just came back from having dinner here and we recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a restaurant. We were served my Mitris (hope I spell her name correctly) and she was very good and had great attitude and waiter skills. She also spoke good English so no language barriers here. I hope she sees this as she's doing a great job. They come to your table with their appetizer dishes to ask of you want any which we found amazing as you get to see the food - we took the bread, olives, goat cheese and tomatoes with olives oil and cream cheese. For main course we shared the full portion octopus which is a portion for 2 and it was more than enough for us. For desert we had chocolate mouse and lemon cake. I've been in Portugal for 2 years and honestly this place was the best food, service, from the moment we walked in, we have 3 small kids and they put place settings all themed from pink chair for my daughter, blue chair for my son, Minnie mouse and mickey mouse plates and cups, kid friendly cutlery, and for my 5 year old a spiderman place setting, this already made it unbelievable, food was brought out within 10 to 15 minutes extremely well portioned, and incredible taste, I can't fault one thing, all the waiters were incredible and constantly checking if we needed anything. With a full itinerary and rumbling stomachs, our group of 17 hungry tourists descended upon our hotel host. We craved Portuguese cuisine near the Basilica so we could catch the daily procession afterwards. Thankfully, she directed us to Restaurante A Tasquinha. Despite our sizable group, I harbored doubts about a quick 1.5-hour meal. But those doubts vanished like the last bite of food!
