One Night Only When a person travels with another, be it friend, family or foe, make sure it’s someone with a sense of direction. My sister is not that person! We had taken a bus to the town of Fatima the week before the celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the apparitions witnessed in 1916 and 1917. With directions in hand, I followed my sister down one street to the next, up and down hills, around corners and roundabouts to streets without numbers or signs and make-believe confirmations of locations to prove we were going in the right direction. Mind you all this with heavy backpacks for our overnight stay. After two hours of walking, I was about to throw myself in front of an oncoming car to end it all when a sign (a real one) with the name ‘Aldi’s’ finally appeared in the sky. This grocery store meant that our hotel was near. It was. Just across the street. Pros: Although this is listed as a hotel, I thought of it more like a hostel. The desk clerks were polite and friendly. The room was clean and decent. A no frills budget stay. Nice size rooms with a dorm size refrigerator. The balcony and window had exterior metal doors that, with a push of a button, roll down at night for safety. We had good views of the town. Its location is a 15-minute walk of the Sanctuary of Fátima. A grocery store across the street as well as a café. The bathroom provides a bidet. There is a dining area downstairs but we didn’t use it. Cons: Our room came with a basic full and twin bed. The furniture reminded me of pieces purchased at IKEA. Some of the stack tables were worn or warped. A used lime green couch provided seating. The bathroom is somewhat small. I found that the bathtub had too many strands of hair in it prior to use. Overall: If you a looking for a good night’s sleep at an affordable rate, Imperhotel fits the bill.

Imperhotel is a fantastic place to stay when visiting Fátima — clean, modern, and incredibly welcoming. The location couldn’t be better: just a short walk from the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima, shops, and great local restaurants. The rooms are spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped, offering everything you need for a relaxing stay. The beds are cozy, the showers are excellent, and the overall atmosphere is peaceful — perfect after a long day of exploring or attending Mass. The staff are the true highlight here — friendly, professional, and always ready to help with directions, local tips, or anything you might need. Breakfast is fresh and delicious, with plenty of variety and quality ingredients. Whether you’re visiting Fátima for spiritual reasons or just to experience the beauty of the town, Imperhotel is the perfect home base. Excellent value, great service, and genuine Portuguese hospitality — five stars all the way!

We stayed at Imperhotel by accident because we were looking for another one closer to the Sanctuary of Fatima,The hotel is beautiful very good price,no comparing with others, the staff are great, very helpfully in every need. The entry is all marble stone very rich looking, outside they have a garden with chairs to seat for fresh air, nice location.||The Roos are just okey,I needed a hair dryer I could not find one,I ask at the front desk and they told me we have to ask for it because when left in the room guest steal them,I amazed that people are so bad by taking what it is there's.So they got me me one,I suggest they should have a sign to let guest know about it,also they should have a little table in the bathrooms so we can place our hygiene items and not take them out every time we use them.||They have a nice bar with food available very good and traditional, very good coffee express and pastry.||I was surprise they are only a 💥💥 hotel they are comparable With others by far, very neat and clean, great staff nice social room near the bar and nice leather sofas at the entry.||The breakfast included is good but they should serve some hot items to be complete. ||I recommend Imperhotel for the good good value they offer...
