We were looking for a good all-you-can-eat sushi spot for dinner during our second visit to Porto and found this place through Google based on its decent reviews.
When we arrived, we were told we could sit anywhere. Our table didn’t have pens or order sheets, and no staff came by to assist, even though it wasn’t particularly busy—so we had to grab what we needed from another table ourselves.
We ordered a variety of sashimi only to find out there was a limit, which wasn’t clearly explained and felt unnecessarily complicated. It honestly seemed like they were trying to cut costs—the sashimi pieces were very thin and about half the size of what we’ve had at other similar places.
That said, the quality of the sushi and fish was decent—not amazing, but solid enough to be slightly above average. Still, considering the overall experience, the value just wasn’t there. We...
Read moreHave eaten better for the same price. At dinner especially, it's expensive (again, for the quality provided) but at lunch time it's kinda reasonable considering their very central and turistic location. For an all you can eat, the selection wasn't anything special. Few entrees (meh to their vegetable crepes), but to their credit they also provide hot plates like noodles, rice, grilled meats... and they do come in hot fresh from the plate. Their fish wasn't anything special, and their sashimi disappoints (only 2 types of fish), but some of their rolls impressed me. They have a neat little policy, I saw it there for the first time a few years ago, that you can't over order (since you order individual little plates) and leave food, or there's an extra fee. Good on them to...
Read moreWe went to this restaurant and were able to order everything on the menu. Some of the sushi had a lot of rice in it and the rice was overcooked. I didn't eat the rice, only the fish, and then the waiter came up to me and told me I couldn't leave the rice. I said I wouldn't eat the rice if I didn't like it. But the waiter insisted that I couldn't leave the rice. I didn't really like it because in any restaurant, if I don't like something about the food (quality or taste), I don't have to eat it. There were a few dishes in the restaurant that I liked but not many .
If I had seen in advance what the sushi would look like, I wouldn't have ordered it. That's another thing I didn't like about the buffet. I don't see what the dish looks like...
