O Marinheiro — Restaurant in Porto

There is a good reason why this restaurant has a low rating. The problem is that the quality of the food does not match the excellent service and reasonable prices. The mixed grilled fish we ordered was steamed small unfresh fish with full of spines. Some fish even had a fishy smell. "Mixed grilled fish" should be changed to "Mixed steamed fish".

I saw your reply that my review regarding "Mixed grilled fish" was fake. I am attaching my receipt as proof of my visit to your restaurant. Don't call the customer a liar, but be faithful...

I love fish. I grew up eating it, so even if it's not up to my standards, I'll still enjoy it. However, there are a few crucial things you need to do to not mess up a fish, and one of them is gutting it, which didn't happen. A lot can be told about a restaurant by the house wine, and even that was very poor. I'm usually a very content person, but even that you couldn't get right. Nothing nice to say. Absolutely wonderful dinner. Extraordinary food. Super service. And very importantly, the prices we so so reasonable. For being in such a prime location, close to the city centre, many establishments raise their prices. O Marinheiro keep to their roots, keeping prices affordable with exceptional food and service. Starter, sharing grilled fish platter, bottles of wine (8€), 2x port tonics & bottle of water… only 60€. I cannot recommend...
