for one of our birthdays. After seeing good reviews on Happy Cow (vegan's portal) we decided to try Remedio Santo. It wasn't in the center, but an easy and nice walk from there. We got a nice, quiet table outside. When we got the menu, we were a bit disappointed because we saw that there were plates with cheese and fish. Luckily the waiter informed us that everything was 100% vegan and then we were ecstatic! All the dishes sounded incredible, but when the waiter came up to us and showed us photos of the dishes, it was much much easier to decide. We chose the Couple Deal, with olives, hummus, bread, 2 kibes, 2 main dishes, and 2 deserts, for 40 euro, which we thought was an incredible deal. The two main dishes we took were the shimejis à brás (traditional Portuguese fish dish; vegan, of course!), and the seitan steaks. Both dishes were incredible tasty and so satisfying and filling. The desert wasn't too sweet and it was the perfect balance. We took the blueberry cheesecake and the kiwi dish with coconut cream. We also has 3 glasses of a Portuguese white wine---one of the best wines we've ever had and not very expensive (2.20 per glass). We highly recommend the restaurant for vegans and non-vegans alike, and we can't wait to come back to Porto to try more of their dishes! The owners have excellent taste and a keen sense for atmosphere. Thank you for an amazing birthday!

Liked the place for a good service and interesting options in the menu. However, I found prices a bit high if dishes are paid individually(12-14€ per main dish). That is for the simplicity of the ingredients used and quite a plain taste of the final product. We've been told the dishes include a variety of spices and even seaweeds, but couldn't feel the taste of those. Still, loved the presentations of the dishes and overall relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. Could've been better if the restaurant had better interior, that is a more captivating design. I also loved the dessert - a chocolate tart, it was quite pricy(4.50€), but one can tell the elaboration justifies it's price.

Amazing traditional Portuguese food made vegan! We did the menu of three appetizers, two mains, and two desserts, and went with the dishes recommended to us: the Bacalhau, which was tasty and very interesting to try, and the seitan steaks with the black beer cream sauce, which was fantastic! We had reservations and our table was already set up with an appetizer spread once we arrived. The owner was very sweet and gave us a great description of the dishes. We would 100% recommend going a little bit out of the center of Porto to come to this restaurant!

If you are in porto, you have to eat here. It's all vegetarian but don't let that put you off! I am an omnivore and I can happily tell you, this was the beat meal we have had in Porto so far, and we've been here 5 days.

To start we had the Kibes and Rissoles, these were perfect ro share and very tasty!

The "clam" dish "shiitaki a bulhao pato" was my favourite, so perfectly substituted by juicy mushrooms, subtle garlic lemon butter and coriander sauce. Magnificent. The mash was superbly crafted.

My partner had the "shimejis a bras' and this too, was very nice! My partner describes this as beautifully flavoured.

Dessert, was the mixed berries pannacota and the passionfruit custard... both very tasty.

Service was wonderful by the team, and everyone including the patrons seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Please visit Remedio Santo, you will not be disappointed, but very much...
