Great food and wanted to really enjoy this restaurant, but the service was one of the worst we have ever experienced. Upon asking for the bill, we were informed that the restaurant only takes cash - no credit/debit/Zelle. Cash only. This was not communicated in any way beforehand. The owner was extremely unhelpful and wouldn’t answer basic questions regarding how we should pay. Finally, she had us walk ten minutes to a gas station that she said had an ATM. It did not, in fact, have an ATM. So we then had to run around the city looking for an ATM and then return to the restaurant before it closed (the place is only open about 3 hours a night), wasting hours of our short trip. Read moreWe came to Porto from Lisbon, visiting from California excited for kosher food. First red flag we were not greeted by anyone, the host just walked by, the first time. Then when we finally got seated after waiting we decided to give it ten minutes, no one came by once at all to check on us. The host was busy talking to people at the front.
As we left all the host had to say was sorry. Really? If your a new business you should be hustling , at least that’s how it usually is.
