This is a newly opened Portuguese fusion brunch café. The interior is bright and minimalistic, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The waiter, Matías, was exceptionally warm and made us feel very welcome. The offerings are split between brunch and dinner menus.
We ordered the Risotto cremoso com molho de pimentão defumado, acompanhado com salteado de porco preto e cogumelos and the Mariscos e peixe em molho de pimentão fumado, com arroz cremoso de coco e gengibre, finalizado com azeite de coentros. Although these dishes are usually available only in the evening, Matías and the chef kindly prepared it for us as a special request. Both plates were outstanding—the risotto was rich and velvety, topped with flavorful black pork and mushrooms. The seafood dish was vibrant, with fresh ingredients enhanced by a Southeast Asian twist of coconut milk and ginger. Including drinks, our total was around 40 EUR.
This café opened just two months ago, and I'm really glad I had the chance to visit during my time in Porto. I look forward to returning and sampling more of their creative dishes...
Read moreWe were tired after a lot of walking around Porto... We stumbled to this small place that was just next to our accommodations. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of Matēs. His recommendation and professional approach was very good. The Sangria (white wine) was spot on... Really refreshing after a good long day. We ordered the croquettes, the risotto and the seafood. My older son who disliked seafood actually ate a lot of it. Even a fussy pot like him enjoyed the food! The chef shows boldness and confidence in his cooking and that is good... It is a bit of a fusion but it works, particularly after we have been eating a lot since going to Barcelona and now Porto. We had pleasant conversations with Matēs about our background and food! We didn't have any more space for dessert but would not hesitate to come again for that! We really think this is a gem of a place for any tourist to try...
Read moreThis was probably the best restaurant we could have chosen for our first meal after arriving in Porto! We were very kindly greeted when we entered, and got to sit out the outdoor garden which had a lovely atmosphere!
We were then recommended some dishes on the menu with great enthusiasm. At first my friend and I were not having too much of an appetite, but after trying the mushroom and pork risotto, we were so wow-ed we had to try another dish! And got the seafood with coconut rice next! Both were really amazing dishes, especially the tender pork and lovely sauteed mushrooms which blew our minds away.
It is obvious that these people care a lot about what they do and it shines through in both their customer service and their food. We would happily go back for more, and this place is definitely one I would recommend to others...
