Do Dia P'ra Noite — Restaurant in Santa Cruz

I absolutely loved this restaurant!!!! I think the tourists sit outside, I went inside where the locals where.

Firstly the menu is very, very reasonable, there are great choices.

I opted for a local beer *um because it will taste better than any branded beer.

And the steaks cooked with wine, fries and bread.

The steaks were succulent, juicy and flavourful, tender and you got a very good portion size. The sauce was impeccable, I asked for bread after eating the meat because I couldn't leave it. Sweet, slight vinegar *could have been my fries I put on the plate, delicate meaty sauce.

A perfect lunch!!!

The staff were very attentive, kind and incredibly communicative. They was extremely busy with outside but didn't pass by without talking to me.

Absolute joke of a restaurant. Worst dining experience of my life — and that’s saying something. We sat there like idiots for 1.5 hours, only to be told after all that time that they’re closing and can’t finish our order. Are you serious?

They didn’t even bother to apologize. Not a single sorry. No discount. Nothing. I was left with half a damn fish going cold while waiting for rice that never even came. What kind of clown show is this?

We waited more than an hour for our food. Mixed grill fish was very bad and burned. Squid as well, very chewy. The octopus chewy and not tasty. At the end We have asked (as discount) not to charge us for the bottle of wine (8.50€) as It came as soon as we ordered and It was not good to drink with the food...After One hour of waiting White wine was warm. The owner started laughing at our request and he did 3€ discount on the wine...3€ on a not deserved 60€+ dinner...telling US he does not care about what we think and if we dont go back to his restaurant because we are just turists...Ridiculous.
