As a Chinese, we are expecting that we can have a normal Chinese food in a Chinese restaurant like we had in Lisboa and Cascais area. Tonight, we ordered a spicy soup, wonton soup, grilled beef on the pan, fried veggie, fried rice noodle and a pot of tea (chrysanthemum tea). The soups came first, spicy soup is really watery, no taste and like vomit. The owner explained there’s chicken mince inside but really, I couldn’t find one. The wonton soup for my son is also no taste, like soy sauce mixed with water. And came after was the veggie, it was so salty, near bitter as too much salt in it. We need to put into the soup to raise the salty out. The beef is too chewy and oily…the bamboo in this dish was sour. The tea, it came with green tea mixed with jasmine instead of the chrysanthemum tea.
Only the fried rice noodle was normal. If you go to this Chinese restaurant and saw this review. Please choose the safest dish or disappointed like us.
The staff attitude was bad, especially the young guy without glasses. When we paid the bill he even didn’t stay for one second or say thank you. Only passed by and passed me the bill.
The owner has excuses for the feedback about the food so we left the restaurant with disappointment and it turns into our black list.
Attached with the spicy soup with the chicken mince inside which I really couldn’t find it and taste anything like grounded...

I recently dined at Golden Dragon, a Chinese restaurant, with two relatives in April. Our order included Peking Duck, Garlic Shrimp hot plate, Chicken and Shrimp hot plate, Fried Rice, White Rice, Spring Rolls, and soft drinks.
The service was prompt and attentive, and the ambiance was clean and tranquil, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. However, while the food quality was generally good, I was disappointed that both rice orders arrived cold.
The Peking Duck was a standout dish, with succulent meat and crispy skin, and the Garlic Shrimp and Chicken and Shrimp hot plates were flavorful and well-prepared. The Spring Rolls were also a delightful appetizer option.
Overall, while Golden Dragon offers decent Chinese cuisine with attentive service and a serene ambiance, the cold rice was a letdown, leaving me with expectations for improvement in consistency...
Read moreThe food was below my expectations but then I've had worse Chinese food. My complaints are on different issues. I was charged 10 Cents for that blue bag in which they put the food in and then came the biggest surprise. When I asked for a bit of extra soy sauce and a bit of chili sauce, they asked me for 35 Cents more for each, which I paid in cash. Thus it doesn't appear on the bill. We're global travellers and we've extensively travelled in 4 continents and eaten in many dozens of Chinese restaurants and never were we asked to pay for the carrying bag or for an extra tiny portion of soy sauce or chili sauce. One might wonder, why I wrote this review for 80 extra cents at a takeaway, while on a 4 week road trip through Portugal. We'll, it's because of the potential compromises they would do in food quality, to maximize profits. Should be a concern for anyone who is planning to visit...
