I donât mean to harm this restaurant with my review, iâm just simply sharing my experience. But unfortunately, this is the worst place i have ever eaten in.
We thought it can't be that bad if it has 4,3 stars and over 1200 reviews, but it just kept getting worse.
The restaurant looks like it hasn't been taken care of since itâs opening. The toilets aren't clean either and overall you just feel like you sit in an ancient relic. The area doesn't help in that regard either. Even though Sintra is a beautiful city, they still managed to find the worst area to put their restaurant in.
Because of this terrible first impression, me and my friends went for a classic and easy to make pizza margherita instead of a more complex dish that they had on their menu, simply because we were scared of getting sick by eating chicken or fish.
Even though pizza margherita is one of the easiest dishes you can make, they somehow still managed to make it taste like nothing. I'm not even kidding, the only thing we could taste was the dough. Probably one of the worst pizzas i've ever eaten.
In my opinion the ONLY positive thing about this restaurant is the cheap prize!
Again, I donât want to harm the restaurant so here are a few things i would change:
-Make the menu smaller and concentrate on making a few really good and outstanding dishes. -Change the decoration and make it look more modern. Also add some bright elements because the restaurant is too dark. -Change the way you approach customers and give them time to choose a dish
For the time being, i would strongly advise eating somewhere else. However, if they change and keep their prizes, then they could become a worthy competitor against the other...
Read moreWe arrived in Sintra after dark with only vague directions to our apartment. The manager of the restaurant saw us lost and confused and came out to walk us to our door. After we settled in we went back to the restaurant for a late dinner and I am so glad we did! We walked in behind a couple from Cheng Du, China who spoke no Portuguese and very limited English but had specific dietary requests. The staff maneuvered the language barrier well and we all became friends over Google Translate, broken English and a tiny bit of Spanish. Both our server and the manager were delightful and funny and we were very happy with their entree recommendations. We had the chicken tikka masala, a lamb dish they recommended (I donât remember what it was called), rice and garlic naan and a mango lassi. The food was plentiful and delicious and came out hot and exactly the spice level we had requested. Our new friends at the next table were also clearly happy with their food as this was the third time theyâd eaten here this week! We plan to have lunch here before we leave Sintra because their lunch specials are a bargain and we would like to check out the outdoor patio. Do yourself a favor and walk a few steps down off the main road for some great food at Bengal...
Read more4.3 Rating??? Absolute Joke of a Rating (no offense to anyone who gave a positive rating) If you never had Indian food before, you will absolutely love the food here, Just Dont Go anywhere else after though. Group of 4 ordered 9 different items from the menu,
Samosas - More oil and frozen vegetables for ingredients (1/5) Onion Bhaji - Very Crunchy, they forgot to add the softness (how?) (2/5) Chicken Biryani - Bruhhh... for rice lovers, worse rice experience ever (1/5) Chicken Tikka Masala - Where was the Tomato sauce? Onion sauce overpowers the tomato sauce, just order raw onions at this point (2/5) Grilled Ckn Tandoori - very rare to mess this up, unless its not cooked enough.... yup not cooked enough (1/5) Garlic Naan - Just order plain Bread at this point (2/5)
Best part about the restaurant were drinks. Mango Lassi - Approved Cobra Beer - Eghh, it was better than rest of the items on the table. Red Wine - Thank god it was in a bottle
Please Do Better !!! Praying for...
