AVOID this place. Short black hair in my food (I have long blonde hair). Stale bread, mouldy olives. They brought us a giant warm beer we never ordered & charged us for it. The waitress completely ignored me but was overly friendly & enthusiastic towards my boyfriend, standing way too close to him & laughing loudly in his face… we were both embarrassed on her behalf… her attitude quickly changed when we sent back the espumante sangria after taking one sip because it had zero bubbles or flavour, tasted like it was sitting there all day & was a tiny jug for €20… after this she & the rest of the staff openly glared at us, rolling their eyes, providing very slow service. Even when I went to the toilet, their eyes followed me all the way there, it was very strange & uncomfortable. We got the baked goats cheese… it was just okay. The vegetable soup was yummy. The gazpacho was delicious. The garlic prawns were a tiny overpriced portion with zero garlic flavour & too salty. We were hoping to stay in one place for the evening & enjoy some cocktails but we immediately left after eating without ordering replacement drinks because we wanted to get out...
Read moreStay away!!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. This place was so disgusting I couldn't get the nasty taste out of my mouth for hours later. After a long day exploring sintra, we passed by many restaurants and came across their menu, we were so hungry and it was so busy so we thought we would give it a try. My husband had a margarita pizza and I had the shrimp pasta. Where do i begin! The pasta was sooooo overcooked, the sauce was the most horrible sauce I have ever had, like a combo of mr. noodle, fish sauce and miso put together and the prawns were severly overcooked as if they use already cooked prawns and then cook them again... It was utterly disgusting. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. We regretted our choice the moment the food arrived. My husband was able to chew down his pizza but said it was only filling the void at that point. The service wasn't great either. It seems like all they care about is turn over in that place. Find somewhere...
Read moreBread and butter were very good and worth the money. But that was it. This place charges more than any other restaurant I’ve been to in Portugal for a small still water. The Paço Real pizza is okay- the prosciutto was amazing, but the cheese was old tasting and very greasy (not fresh mozzarella as described). Too much oregano, that was all you could taste. Also, I would suggest a squeeze of lemon or light vinaigrette on the arugula- some acidity would help balance out flavours. A few bites of the crepe were burnt tasting (I think it might have been the chocolate that was burnt, not the actual crepe) and whipped cream was weirdly fizzy. Fresh strawberries on top were delicious. Service was good; quick and friendly. Overall, a below average meal at too high a price. You can easily find better...
