Words can’t describe how horrible my experience at this restaurant was. If I could give 0 stars I would. The service was bad, the food was mid, overpriced, and the portions were small. Half of the menu wasn’t even available! To begin, the waiter tried to upsell us a bottle of wine that was double the price of wine that we wanted and then said that it wasn’t available. We order a bottle of wine and the waitress dropped the bottle onto us and then spent 10 minutes trying to open the bottle whilst another waitress was barking orders at her. It felt like a humiliation ritual they do to new hires. As we were eating our appetizers and chatting, the waiter came up to us to tell us that we were “too loud and scaring the children around us” and “to use our library voices”, which was very unprofessional and uncalled for as we have much louder in quieter spaces. In addition to this, the children in the restaurant were loud if not louder. When we got our bill, the waitress was very rude and kept asking us how we were going to pay in Portuguese and showing us no patience as we were trying to communicate with her. They refused to split our bills and made us calculate it ourselves because he didn’t remembered what we ordered. They also forced us to tip and made us pay for bread and olives that we...

My wife and I came to this cosy spot and immediately we were pleasantly surprised with the gorgeous view. We managed to get a table close enough to see the whole view and it really made for an amazing atmosphere.

The staff member that received us was so welcoming and pleasant to deal with all night as we ordered things several times over the course of the night, including mains, drinks and dessert. The food we had was AMAZING, I couldn't get enough of my meal. I had never before ordered additional things off the menu once I put in my first order but once we got our Serrana salad we knew we had to get another one, it was that good. Our mains were delicious and cooked to perfection and the aesthetics of the plate were EXCELLENT.

All in all, the service atmosphere and food made for a very enjoyable experience. We would definitely recommend this place to others.

Some of the bad reviews say that this place is a tourist trap because they offer a starter that seems complementary but charge you for it in the end. That is true, HOWEVER, I've come to find out over my 10 day stay that this is a common practice in Portugese restaurants. You can just tell them that you don't want the "couvert" when they offer it to you and they won't...

Rude service. They dont take seriously allergies. Very average and overpriced food.

Edit: I wrote this review while still at the restaurant as I didn't want to forget as I think allergies are very serious and should be treated with the maximum care. On our way out from the restaurant a man confronted me and the 2 friends I was with about the review. Being very rude and wanting me to remove it. Not asking for further feedback or apologise. He wanted me to remove the review and said that if I said something he would have given me a discount. I tried to make him understand how rude the staff was, and how badly they handled the allergy request. But he only cared about the review.

Upon looking at more reviews I can see how terrible this place is and how many people had the same experience with rude staff.

Also they bring over some olives with bread, and you think they are free/complimentary with a pitcher of sangria or as a nice starter, nope, they will charge for it, so send it back!

Please avoid...

Went there based on reviews and the claim that they offer the best view of Sintra and was disappointed. It's a tiny restaurant with tables squeezed in next to each other, the view is well like from any other point in Sintra which is a town on hills. Coming to the food there is nothing much to write about. The pica pau was below average and the tiny fillet of fish with tomato rice was decent at best. The only highlight was the chocolate mousse, which was delicious with the perfect consistency. The service was acceptable. The terrace allows smoking on the tables and the next table being inches away you get to breathe in second hand smoke free of cost. Do not recommend them.

Good views here and good service. Our server was very friendly at lunch and we decided to come back for dinner. At lunch we got a plate of bread and butter and olives, they did not ask if we wanted it but placed it on our table, we saw on the menu after that it cost money but ended up not being charged. At dinner we were charged for it though, disappointing that they do not share this with you and give you the option to say no. The breads (basically sandwiches) are good, also be aware if they ask you if you want salad or fries, this is also an additional cost. Besides not being transparent with the charges, everything was good and it was a pleasant experience.

We chose this restaurant based on its 4.4-star rating, but honestly, I’m baffled by where those stars came from. The food was a major letdown. I ordered a hamburger, and it was hands-down the worst I’ve ever had—dry, flavorless, and paired with fries that tasted like they'd been reheated three times too many. My husband went with the fish, which arrived with a strong, unpleasant smell and was barely a quarter of a fillet. The portion was laughably small, especially considering the price. The only redeeming quality is the view—it’s decent enough if you’re just stopping by for a drink. But if you're coming for the food, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
