Sabot Lucky Burgers — Restaurant in Sintra

Great place to pop in for a quick drink and bite, and to get the local low down on what to do in Sintra (read more below).

We got a couple of beers and a glass of house wine. Beers: standard as expected, house wine was excellent. And an order of garlic bread, tasty and hit the spot. We saw others ordering the burgers and it looked good, but we can't comment on their taste.

Now the best thing about this place is the people working there going out of their way to recommend attractions and things to do, and the best way to get there. How to avoid the tourist traps, and other tips from a knowledgeable local. He saved us $$$ (avoid the tuktuks and the so-called "local bus") and not to mention guiding us to great places off the beaten track. Worth it just for the tips. Thank you.

My experience with Sabot Restaurant was very good. We were late for a trip on Sintra and we found this restaurant. Is closed to Train station and food git ready quickly!

They have this "dish of the day" that you pay €7.5 for a lunch with potato and a non-alcoholic drink. The lunch + fried potato are well served and you can consider a satisfactory meal. Simple but delicious.

Attending was amazing. The man was very kind and told us some tips about the places to visit in the city.

The ambient is cozy. Toilet is "hidden" in a secret passage but is clean and ok.

Summarizing, I recommend. Wheelchair is complicated, once the restaurant is in the middle of the building and the access is by stairs. I remember they have takeaways!...

Just have been there for lunch in Sintra.

We came back from a hike up the hill to the Palácio da Pena and were hungry. We searched for food near the train station. The kids decided for burgers. This iss the 2nd burger location from the train entrance, not the first. You have to go down a few stairs to reach the restaurant, or up from the other side.

Very friendly guy helped us with the choices of burgers. Any questions, just ask. When he took the order, he asked how we would like our meat done. Not done in many burger places. We had four different burgers and all where great. The patties were like we ordered. All on fresh buns. Simply great burgers and crispy fries...
