Espaço Edla is cute little cafe on Rua Dr. Alfredo de Costa. They are open from 8am to 7pm (weekdays) and 9am to 7pm (weekends) and have a neat tea room like setup. Menu features a fairly typical range of counter pastries, sweets, cake slices along with sandwiches, toast orders along with coffee and non-coffee drinks. We had breakfast here during a recent visit to Sintra and found the coffee to be strong and very good, ham and cheese on toast was hearty and tasted very good. Slice of Mil Folhas was very sweet, nicely textured layers and overall yummy. Service was friendly and helpful as well. Overall, this was a nice little stop for breakfast during our visit to Sintra. Would gladly return to Espaço Edla during future visits.

Nice place to have a meal or a coffee/tea, simply. The food is good, the service is kind and the ambience is beyond what we would expect once seen from the outside. There is a small corner in the open air with two bright yellow seats and a table that invite for a tête-à-tête. Prices are reasonable . Well located, near the train station and the Town Hall.

There is no better place in Sintra to eat for the price. This restaurant is a great option, they have a small menu but it is delicious and they serve the food really fast. For €5.95 you can expect a nice lunch an decent portion. They accept credit card which is always a plus in Sintra. I highly recommend it if you want to avoid tourist traps

I really liked this place, it was really cute. I found it a little difficult to find and had to ring the number for the owner to appear but he was really friendly and helpful when he did find me. I do get lost walking down straight roads though so I think it may just be me! Just a tip for anyone as bad at reading maps as me, it's easier to access from the station side rather than from the street on the other side - the stairs are just opposite the main Sintra station building. ||||The room was really clean and well turned out. They even left flowers on the bed which is a lovely touch. The bed was really comfortable and I slept like a baby. The bathroom was just down the corridor from my room and was a good size. They also cleaned the room on the second day which was nice of them.||||The breakfast was lovely and really substantial - providing an individual breakfast for each guest comprising of bread, meats, cheeses and jam as well as fruit and a cake. I felt really full for the two mornings I had it.||||As a lone traveller, I felt really safe both in the property and arriving back late at night. I noticed other reviews complaining about the big set of keys and having to get through loads of doors. For me personally, as a lone female traveller and particularly as on the second night I arrived back after 1am, I felt secure and comforted by the level of security. ||||The only real negative I can say is that the shower could be more powerful, but that's quite subjective. ||||I would definitely stay here again if...

This BnB is just ok. The room is good, very clean and nicely decorated, but the double bed is small. It's really noisy as all rooms have their bathrooms outside and everybody has to carry around a big key ring full of jangling keys to open and close the many doors you go through. The bathroom doesn't have a latch on the inside and can only be locked with a key, which was really annoying. |Regarding the breakfast, we had high expectations, because of the rating, so we felt very disappointed. Although they present it very well, they only bring very basic things to your table, like bread rolls, butter, jam, sliced ham and cheese plus a bit of fruit and a sweet creamy cake not suitable for breakfast. At no time were we offered another drink or asked if everything was alright or even if we preferred something else. Although the breakfast is served in the owner's cafe (downstairs from the BnB), they don't give you any choices. |Also be aware of the steep stairs leading from the street level down to the front door. If you have a big suitcase, you have to find someone to help you. |The only really positive point is the location, across from the train station and within a short walk to the center, around...
