Padaria Saloia is a must-visit for anyone visiting Sintra. This charming bakery is located in the heart of the town and offers a wide variety of delicious pastries, bread, and other baked goods. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the prices are very reasonable.
I had the pleasure of visiting Padaria Saloia recently and was blown away by the quality of the food. I tried the pastel de nata, which was flaky and buttery with a perfect custard filling. I also tried the bolo de arroz, which was a moist and flavorful. I can honestly say that these were some of the best pastries I have ever had.
In addition to the delicious food, Padaria Saloia also has a great atmosphere. The bakery is small and cozy, with a few tables where you can sit and enjoy your food. There is also a small outdoor terrace where you can sit and people-watch.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Padaria Saloia. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this bakery to anyone visiting Sintra.

Read moreI have been going to this bakery for more than three years and everything has always been perfect, the quality of the food and the cleanliness of the place are things I still appreciate very much. I live in the Vila and it's perfect for me to stop by after my morning walks. I used to go there at least two or three times a week until I started to notice that one of the waiters had a fixation with me, always rude and unhelpful. Today in the morning I went into the bakery again and this time I had an orange juice in my hand (sealed), I was talking to the waitress to wish her merry christmas and suddenly this waiter saw me and without even saying hello started to tell me that I can't be there because of the orange juice in my hand. My mother also reported to me that this man has manners out of place, it is understood that sometimes people are tired, or that they are unhappy, but in the end a person like this affects the energy of the spaces, he can turn a palace into a pigsty, how are you going to explain to this man what courtesy means? it would be like explaining to a monkey what it means to...
Read morePadaria Saloia is a good little bakery and eatery along Rua Dr. Alfredo da Costa just a few minutes walk from the Rail Station. We stayed at a hotel nearby and ended up stopping here a couple times during our recent visit to Sintra. Opening hours are 8am to 7pm daily (closed on Tuesdays). They have a few indoor tables and you can do take-away orders as well.
During our visits we tried a handful of savoury breads and sweet desserts. Everything was pretty good, we enjoyed the Pao with chorizo and Quesijadas most. Service was friendly, polite and timely with both our sit in and take-away orders. Overall, this is a conveniently located and good little bakery, perfect if you want something quick and light to eat or are looking to buy a few foods you can take with you while sightseeing at the palaces and gardens...
