Nusr-Et Steakhouse — Restaurant in Doha

Spoilt experience. My family and I (four) booked for New Year’s Eve and we were all excited to enjoy the whole experience. We arrived and the ambiance and food were exceptional. However, after the first serving the waiter began to rush and took our plates while we were still eating, salad still on plates including part eaten steak. Then he continued to rush us by removing plates and crockery at such a speed it became very embarrassing and uncomfortable. The kitchen theatre of the Nuzret special experience was so rushed we never got chance to catch it. At first we shrugged it off but then we asked for the drinks menu and he said there was not one. Ok,! Then we asked what drinks were available and he, very rudely said “only Turkish tea no other available” he was quite abrupt and walked away.

My daughter then asked another waiter for the drinks menu and both a menu and a drinks menu appeared which included mocktails and cocktails. Then she asked about hot drinks and he said a range of Turkish tea, red tea and coffee was available. Now I was getting angry. He came and gave us the Turkish tea in a hurry and as we were drinking they started to clean and reset the table. (Hurry up and get out was the feeling we were given). I asked to speak to the supervisor who tried to defend her position by telling me it was busy because of New Years Eve. “Yes I know that is why I came it’s a special occasion.” I replied. She expected me to feel sorry for her. We were paying for an expensive meal like everyone else. How dare we be made to feel any less.

Then desserts began to appear, twice without request.

Then I spoke to the manager who called the waitress holding our bill, which we had paid. I told him the bill was not the issue and I explained how rude and unwelcome we had been made to feel. My son and I explained everything. It had spoilt the whole experience. I was upset at the treatment and I have never been treated this way in any restaurant around the world. We were pleasant guests neither noisy nor rude. Our treatment was disgusting and I will be emailing the manager. I made no scene and spoke politely but I was incredibly angry. The manager offered no recompense of any sort other than a phone number if we came again.

After the treatment my family and I got I doubt I will ever recommend this place for service. Such a shame as the food was...

I can only advise you against this place. THE MOST AGGRESSIVE service i have experienced in my life. First of all they are in Qatar yet they have no idea about the culture that they are not allowed to touch Qatari women hands !!! are they out of their minds. We went as a family to celebrate yet we left horrified from what we experienced. I can almost say we paid for food that was shoved in our mouths by force. The waiter forced especially me to eat the meat he cut by his hand. He did not care for the fact i repeatedly said i won't eat it, he simply shoved it in my face that almost went into my eyes ! This can't be normal, i felt threatened and this was do without my consent. He is abusing his position to abuse customers and feed them without them agreeing to do so. I wish it stopped at the meat, he cut the cake so terribly because he wanted to show off his 'cutting skills'. We had an amazing cake that is covered with fruits, he cut it so terribly that no fruits were on our plates. He again threatened me with a cake right into my face and i repeatedly said no and pushed his hands off my face yet he kept trying to feed me the cake he cut. I am absolute disgusted by this service. My mother even asked him to back off but he won't and he started being more and more aggressive. He slapped my mother's plate and my plate along with making loud very loud noises while placing them and we were beyond shocked we felt extremely threatened by his actions. His justification was "Energy" He says this is for energy. My mother left the place with a headache and high blood pressure after what she experienced, i felt so sorry for her as she took me to nurset to celebrate yet we left devastated. My mother generosity is big and she wanted the lady at the door to have a slice of the cake so she asked her to cut some for her. Sadly, he took this as an opportunity to abuse us even more. He returned us the cake box taped so ridiculously that it took us so long to open when we got home, and we found out that he left us a small potion of the cake and without a single fruit! not even little. He removed all of the fruits from the cake, just imagine. I will upload pictures of how much fruits were on the cake. Nobody on earth deserves to be...

This place is below expectations. To be fair, the decoration and the smell is nice when I just arrived. But then talking about the service and the food, it is really disappointing. The special steaks that we order was really average which it cannot motivate us to go back for it for sure. And the service was pretty ridiculous as in a 5 stars hotel.

First when I was having the bread on my plate ( and obviously I was working on it) ,with no asking or anything, the waiter just came to our table and take the bread on my plate and dip in the butter and put in back in my plate without even saying one word! We were shocked.

Second, when the second dish arrived, the waiter came and ‘rush’( yes he is really rushing us) to take our plate and change to another clean plate. But both of us was still having the steak and side dish on the plate and was obviously working on it because we were still cutting it when he came to change to the new plate! The waiter just took my boyfriend’s plate which there is still food on it and he didn’t even ask if he wants it. And then he was about to take mine too ( when I was cutting the steak on it!) so I had to tell him Can I just finish it first ! It is unbelievable!

They should have a better training to the staffs there. And with this food and service, we won’t be going back for sure since there are a lot of nicer...
