Nobu has to be the most impressive restaurants in Doha in terms of location, ambiance, fresh food and views, surrounded by water in Four Seasons Hotel Doha.

We tried their Kaiseki Menu, which let you choose one of their starters, rolls, main course and dessert. But you must order their signature Miso Black Cod, literally mouthwateringly tender fish with a perfect miso sauce. Also the Yellowtail Jalapeño, very tender and citrusy, a must try.

We were a big group so we were able to try all the dishes from the Kaiseki. We started off with one of my favorite dishes, the Tiger Shrimp Tempura with Creamy Spicy Sauce. Perfectly spiced and crispy shrimp pieces topped on a bed of citrusy spinach. For the salads, they offered an Avocado and Spinach Salad with Dry Miso, as well as Salmon Sashimi Salad with Matsuhisa Sauce, both super fresh and light, a very good way to start the meal. Also got the Seafood Ceviche with Coconut Tigre de Leche, very creamy, fresh and citrusy.

Then on to the rolls, we were served a total of 6 different flavors. My favorites would have to be the Spicy Tuna Roll, Shrimp Sushi and Unagi Sushi. But the others were also fantastic, which were the Whitefish Sushi, Shrimp Tempura Roll and Salmon Avocado Roll. The fish were all extremely tender and melt in your mouth, and paired very well with the sushi rice. I'd have to say, this is one of the best tasting sushi I've ever tried.

For the main course my favorite was the Shrimp Tobanyaki with Garlic Truffle Ponzu, it was perfectly cooked and the sauce was honestly incredible, I needed more. We also liked their truffle rice, very umami fragrant rice with mushroom and some truffle sauce. The Grilled Salmon with Citrus Rice Salsa, was a pleasant surprised with a big piece of tender salmon and delicious rice. Lastly was the Brick Oven Roasted Chicken, not my favorite honestly, chicken could have been seasoned better, but it was juicy.

For the desserts, my favorite would have to be the Coconut Castella Cake with Miso Cream, very light and creamy. Their Cheesecake was also phenomenal with the raspberry sorbet. The Banana Crumble Date Ice Cream was a delicious surprise!

No idea what is going on at Nobu but everyone locally is aware that their quality has decreased considerably. Can confidently say will never dine here again. Should have gone to the Spice Market where we would have been treated like valued customers instead of nuisances.

I organized a birthday lunch here on a Saturday. We were 27 people, approximately 50% of the people in the dining area that day. We asked to be served in the lounge - no, not possible, lunch is not served in the lounge. Okay. (Inflexibility is not a characteristic of a quality restaurant that will have a lot of business, but sure).

Some people showed up at 12:45 for a 1pm seating; the restaurant's front door was locked. Security said they would open at 1pm. It was 100 degrees outside, being Qatar in August, and a strong wind was blowing. Not ideal or sensible for a 5 star place where surely the kitchen had been working since 10am?

We had 1 server assigned to our 4 tables; it took 30 minutes + to get drink orders, the birthday girl didn't even get her place her lunch preference for the first hour we were inside.

They said we could bring our own cake for 45 QR (about $12) a slice service charge PER PERSON (would have been over $300). They did not offer a freebie cake for the celebrant (said we could order something off the menu).

The waiters we did have to ask for help looked annoyed, irritated, and angry in equal measure. The hostess at one point looked like she was rushing to the back for a good cry.

We had a lot of presents, and a nearly empty restaurant, only 50 people total at any one time - could we place our bags here on the empty sushi bar? The waiter said he would check, never came back to confirm.

At 4pm, the management sent over security to tell us to leave as lunch was over. Security guards came in to tell 20 odd women to leave a restaurant where they had just spent over $2000.

Oh and the charged the birthday girl for her meal. The person who doubled their diners...

🌟 An iconic fine dining experience at Nobu Doha 🌟

Nobu Doha is not just a restaurant – it’s a landmark in Qatar 🇶🇦. Located at the Four Seasons, the building itself is stunning: a circular design overlooking the sea 🌊, with one of the best rooftops in the city. The atmosphere is chic and elegant, perfect for date nights, celebrations, or business dinners.

🍣 Food: The menu combines signature Nobu classics with locally inspired flavors. The legendary black cod with miso 🐟 is a must-try – buttery, tender, and unforgettable. The sushi and sashimi are fresh and beautifully presented, while the hot dishes from the robata grill are full of flavor. Portions are designed for sharing, which makes the dining experience even more enjoyable.

🍸 Drinks: Creative cocktails with Japanese influence, plus an extensive wine list. The bartenders are skilled at making recommendations that pair perfectly with the dishes.

🙌 Service: Professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. The staff explain the menu clearly and are happy to suggest the best combinations if it’s your first time at Nobu. Timing between courses is well-managed, which keeps the experience relaxed.

💰 Price: As expected for Nobu, it is expensive 💳 – but the overall experience justifies the cost. This is luxury dining in Doha at its finest.

🌅 Tip: Reserve a table on the rooftop or terrace before sunset. The view of the Corniche and West Bay skyline is breathtaking ✨. And don’t forget to bring your camera 📸 – this place is as photogenic as it is delicious.

✅ Final Verdict: Nobu Doha delivers on every level – food, atmosphere, service, and location. Whether you’re a local, an expat, or a visitor, it’s a must-visit fine dining...

After landing at Hammad international airport for a 12 hr layover, we were tired from our 15 hr flight but eager to see the acclaimed site of the World Cup. So, we put our heads together and fathered a short trip to Nobu Doha, a fine Asian rooftop bar and restaurant at the end of an isthmus on the coast of the Persian Gulf. We were greeted by friendly doormen, and carried our bags to the reception where some nice ladies took our info and carryons. At the rooftop, we were greeted by yet another friendly host who showed us to our table overlooking the vast skyline of downtown Doha. It was a sight to behold. Every building different from the next and with a different color scheme and architecture reflecting off the calm desert sea. The amputated pyramid lit up in neon color arrangements really captured my sense of wonder. It felt like being in a Drake music video for several minutes, up until we saw the menu and realized we couldn’t have everything on it. We did in fact order a few items, such as some raw fish tacos, and a salad (turned out to be my favorite). We also ordered a type of Sake I could barely pronounce to cool off a little before the long wait at the airport. The music was nice, a blend of house and Arabian atmospheric music. The clientele seemed mostly locals eating inside and tourists like us on the rooftop. By the end of the night I found myself raving about the Boston tea party and its implications to today’s global economy and finally realized it was time to go.

I have eaten at Nobu before in London. I came here as I heard the location of this Nobu was stunning and believe me it was! This is also the biggest Nobu in the world. The views! You need to book. It wasn't that busy as it was early. This time I didn't opt for a full meal but instead went for the 'Tanoshi' Happy Hour option where you are seated in the white lounge area and need to come and order between 18:00 and 20:00. The offer runs from Tuesday to Saturday. To be honest sitting in the white lounge was lovely with the views and vibe. Very romantic and cool. I had a mocktail to drink which was the Thai Lychee comprising passion fruit purée, lychee purée and Thai lime syrup. You can also select something to eat from a sample of items or you can choose from the main menu. I went with the Sushi Bar Bento Box. This is a good option if you like sushi and sashimi. It was divine. Fresh and delicate. The fish melted in your mouth. The mocktail was so good. Served in a martini glass and went perfectly with my bento box. Located in the Four Seasons Hotel Doha but not in the main hotel part so if you are being dropped by a taxi, make sure to say Nobu so they drop you at the correct place. Not cheap but Nobu never is. The food is great though. If you haven't eaten at Nobu before, suggest opting for a main meal first and trying one of their signature dishes. Service was good. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Make sure you are dressed up! Highly recommend.
