I stayed here for two-nights in late July and I absolutely loved my stay!
Heinz checked me in very quickly and he was very knowledgeable and professional. He answered my questions with lots of details and filled me in on important information about the hotel. I also spoke with Abdo on my second day and I was very impressed with his response to my request for a late checkout.
My bags were delivered to my room in a timely manner and I loved the decor! Speaking about the room, I loved the Oud-scented body wash and lotion (unfortunately they don’t sell them). The tub was great for a deep soak and toilet seats were heated with all the bells and whistles! The only negative I have about the room was my location in particular. It was close to service doors and the elevators, so I heard the bang of doors quite often. I would recommend to request a room away from the main corridor/elevator.
My stay included breakfast and I liked not having a buffet. There was a pretty extensive menu of both Arab and European tastes. I tried several different dishes over two mornings and my favorite was the potato pancake (minus the salmon) and the Turkey ham croissant. I also loved the ‘chocolate monster’ smoothie. Belen was a very kind and professional host who assisted me with booking reservations for dinner at Mr. And Mrs. Hawker. The only area of improvement would be the speed of service, since there were times I waited for quite some time without anyone coming to speak with me.
Finally, the pool is nice, but I hope they can hire someone to clean it properly. I witnessed the lifeguard picking up leaves and other bits by hand. However, he was very kind and offered me a towel and water quickly!
Hope you enjoy your stay as...
Read moreWe recently stayed at this hotel for four nights and unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected.
We had booked in advance and specifically requested two rooms far from each other. Upon check-in, the staff confirmed that the rooms were separated, but when we arrived at the rooms, they were right next to each other. Despite informing the reception, nothing was done to resolve the issue.
Things got worse on the second night when the electricity went out in our room. We contacted reception, and an engineer came to fix it. However, he entered the room with his shoes on and accessed the electrical panel from a cabinet where we had our clothes stored. The issue was temporarily resolved, but it happened again the next morning—we woke up sweating in the heat because the air conditioning wasn’t working and the power was out again. Throughout our stay, the air conditioner also made a constant loud noise, which made it hard to sleep.
After raising these issues, the manager moved us to a different room and promised compensation for the two disrupted nights. Unfortunately, no one followed up. During checkout, we asked for the manager again but were told they were unavailable. The receptionist said she would contact us and provide the manager’s email, but we never received any follow-up.
To make matters worse, we discovered upon checkout that the second room, where our family members were staying, had experienced the same electricity problem—they just didn’t mention it until we were leaving.
Overall, the lack of proper response and accountability was very disappointing. We expected better service and communication, especially from...
Read moreI'm currently staying at Andaz for the last two days, and it's been a fantastic experience. I am happy to recommend Andaz by Hyatt to everyone for a few key reasons||1. It's brand new - just opened up in Feb 2025. While only about 100 rooms are available, when completely operational, it will have over 300 rooms. The rooms are tastefully designed, with the latest technology integrated into the rooms. For example, the switchpoints allow for multiple types of plugs - so you don't have to bring in separate adapters. Moreover, charging of devices can be done through USB and USB-C ports already built in. Clever design even makes the walls look like a work of art.||I am staying in a room that looks over the Persian Gulf - and the view is fantastic||2. Impeccible service - the staff is well trained, and very friendly. They are intuitive to our needs, and are going all out to ensure that we have the best experience possible. They make helpful suggestions, and invite us to try out different experience. The lounge is a great place to hang out - complimentary. ||3. Fantastic food! - My family has been enjoying incredible breakfasts! It's not a buffet styled breakfast - rather, they have an a-la-carte menu with several incredible offerings. ||The team offer helpful suggestions in fresh juice to try, the Qatar Roast coffee is excellent, and my family loved the mini pastries basket - its exceptional food. ||But more than just the food - the service quality, in particular the friendly, attentive staff has made the experience...
