My daughter has been once with us in Sheraton and asked for her 10th birthday to spend the weekend in this hotel instead of any presents. She was impressed by the interiors and beauty of the whole place. When we just entered the hotel and even before we came to the reception, we had already been surrounded by hospitality and a warm welcome. When Sheraton's Staff noticed that for my kid it is a special day, then there was more! We are very grateful to Mrs. Nikita Bilochi and her colleagues for their care and everything they did to make our stay unforgettable. Firstly, Mrs. Nikita suggested my kid fulfill the entry form, so she was able to discuss with us a surprise they decided to make for my kid. We got the invitation from Mrs. Nikita to come to Club Lounge and discussed some details, which was already very surprising and pleasant for us. Then we went to Nusr-Et restaurant where we spent some time and had a fantastic lunch with the Birthday song and a candle on ice cream in the end. After getting back to our hotel's room, we are surprisingly noticed that our room full of balloons and complimentary sweets. My kid was already absolutely happy, so we are as well. We decided that this is exactly that surprise that Mrs. Nikita was talking about and thought that it's already great and no additional surprises ahead. We've been so wrong! Then we went to spend some time on the beach and by the pool. We had a kayak ride and a very nice time in the pool. When the time came, I've contacted Mrs. Nikita to double-check if we can still come to the Club Lounge. I was very surprised again to get a reply from her that they are about to finish all preparations, so I realized that it is not over yet. When we came altogether to the Club Lounge, we're just speechless about the situation. It was so great. Mrs. Nikita, Mrs. Lily, and their colleagues from Club Lounge prepared for us a special area decorated with balloons and flowers with tasty cocktails and sweets. My kid was absolutely shocked, so we are too. It was really great! The next day our Birthday has continued, and even at breakfast in the restaurant, my kid (and parents as well, of cause) got an additional portion of the warmest welcome and a piece of cake. Read moreFirst I would like to start in security check for bags. The security was rude and asked us if we are going to the salon even tho we already put the luggage in the xray, this was very rude and we said we are going to check in. why would we go there when we have a luggage. ot doesn't make sense. we dont look like homeless and we our wearing conservative outfit as we know there are a lot of locals just for respect.
2nd, they guy assisting us checking in. I dont want go drop his name as I dont want to get anyone in trouble but as soon as he saw us I literally saw him roll his eyes. As other receptionist was so alive assisting white customers and especially LOCALS, this guy was just pissed to assist us. most especially when he knew we were using a corporate discount.
we left but needed to ask something and we saw him assisting other customers which was a different nationality (not asian) and he is happy as hell. haha! so we talked to another receptionist and same treatment we got.
on our next day, there was local who assisted us and it was amazing, i didnt expect it but all of our needs was met. I was expecting the worst but atleast he made sure we atleast get something.
as soon as we enter our room it was so hot and smelling old. I understand it's an old building so we really didn't care.
we just unpacked and went straight to the beach and pool just to check before we eat, the security over there asked us where are we going and we said to the pool just to check, and he asked are u checked in I said yeah, but didnt believe me and wanted to check the card. I showed him the key card and we just walked off.
we are traveling around the world bcos of our work, and checking in to different hotels, whether its 2-5 star rated hotel but this is the first time we experienced this.
I dont know if its racism or what, from what I noticed all of us came from a Third world country so I dont know whats the drill. there is nothing wrong when asking what are we going to do in the hotel, but pls there is another way to say it. I can def see the way they treat us vs how they treat locals and white.
In all goodness the service from the pool restaurant to bar was amazing kudos to the thai girl in the restau and the kuya assisting us in the beach to get our drinks right. :)
will def not come back and even tho we have discount, it is still expensive and we are atleast expecting little enthusiasm with the service and security.
