I used to really enjoy coming to Forma, as it was once one of my favorite places. A few years ago, the drinks were excellent, and the staff made every visit a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, my recent visits haven’t lived up to those past experiences. The drinks no longer have the same quality they once did, and the service has noticeably declined. For example, when we asked if a table for two was available, the staff member simply said, “I don’t know, check yourself,” and walked away. So we had to take a table and chairs and carry them outside. I also think the current payment options aren’t ok. Customers are asked to pay either in cash or via Revolut transfer, as the POS system is reportedly not working. Not being able to use standard cards such as Visa feels limiting and inconvenient for guests. In addition, the space itself seems unchanged since the beginning. There haven’t been any noticeable updates or investments, and this shows. The chairs are uncomfortable, and some of the tables are placed so close to the street that it feels unsafe, as if a passing car could almost hit you. It saddens me to see this decline, because Forma used to serve the best Hugo and was truly a standout spot. I sincerely hope improvements will be made so it can return to being the welcoming, high-quality place...
Read moreI first reviewed this 4 years ago, 5 stars. Now, i stand by my review. I will explain why this is my favourite coffee shop in Bucharest. The vibe, the location, the service, they are all above great.
I especially love their street area where u can either sit at tables or on their benches with cushions. They have pretty international clientele, it does make sense since the people who serve (maybe even the owner) are foreigners. They have some areas inside too, each with their own personality.
I also like that they have this concept of paying via Revolut - for digital techies it’s quite neat.
Indeed, be aware it would not be great to come here to study of work as it is not the place for that. Come here if u wanna socialise and recharge with a good vibe.
What strikes me every time i come here is how full they are and how pretty empty the coffee shop next to them is. I...
Read moreThe coffee is highly praised for its exceptional taste, with a standout feature being the homemade caramel sweetener, which enhances the drinks with a distinctive touch. The prices are very affordable, making Forma an excellent choice for anyone looking to enjoy high-quality coffee without spending too much. The ambiance is bohemian and relaxing, with an eclectic design that blends industrial elements with street art, including a colourful graffiti piece by artist Ortaku. The space also features an art gallery upstairs. The staff is friendly and attentive, contributing to the welcoming atmosphere. Also, the café is housed in a historic building, the former Stock Exchange Palace, which adds a special charm to its atmosphere. For those who appreciate both great coffee and art, Forma is a must-visit destination...
