The PUB Trocadero — Restaurant in Bucharest

Hello! We had a bad experience with this place and because of this we will not come back or recommend it.

When we made the reservation nobody told us there was a concert at the location (maybe we didn’t want to sit in a loud environment or maybe we are not fans and we took the seat of someone who would’ve loved to be there)

Reservations are not respected. Apparently, if there are concerts, artists have priority and they can bring their own friends despite the reservations made, which was our case. I agree that our mistake was that we were late 6 minutes, but by the look of the people at our table, they were there for at least 20 mins and besides that, if your reservation is late, before giving the table to someone else, you are obliged to call your reservation to check, which did not happen. At the entrance they even tried to tell me the reservation we made did not exist, luckily I was able to spot it myself on the notebook.

The solutions were poor and not respectful. What they should have done was to tell the people who were sitting at our reserved table to get up - which did not happened. We were directed to a booth we had to share with 2 other people until they were finished. When I disagreed to that, their best solution was to fix us up an improvised bar table for a reservation of 7. At that point I found it too disrespectful and we decided to leave.

Really well set up place, the waitresses did a very good job of serving us really well. They were really nice. It was empty on a holiday though. The draft beer was really really really good. One of the drawbacks is you can't smoke inside. They even have table beer competitions to make it more customer friendly, I've no idea what you'll get by winning this competition. It had a rustic dark feel and the ambience was of a pub. The entrance is not great out looks like a cafe. Weird thing is that there is not great options when it comes to coffee. But the overall feel of the place was really good. Its a bit pricy when it comes to Corona. If you're looking for a place to kill time and enjoy the ambience I would completely recommended it. This pub also offers a lot of services. If i was living any close to this place, it would have been my second home. Like it says it is THE PUB. They could have done a bit more to make it more livelier. I'm pretty sure when the time is right, football matches would bring in more fun and customers. I have always recommended this place to everyone and we usually come here with a group of 15 to 30 people, we are very calm and nice and we do not disturb anyone, everyone buys something or consumes something, usually the table is between 1200-2200 leis and sometimes because most of us are students and so on we have the money for our consummation, but i had only the money for a 5% tips and the lounge staff manager - Nico was very rude and argued that 5% is not enough and she does not appreciate it even tho I bring a lot of customers, we act very polite and we make s big consummation and I always try to help and we are never condescending, I will never bring any group here again, i cannot comprehend feeling this bad by having the staff arguing about the tips, never coming here again.
