We passed the restaurant twice yesterday and it looked really nice so we planned go to eat there for dinner. Reservation was easy through their website. Arriving the first thing we liked was that, unlike most other restaurants in the vicinity Tom Yum had great music and it was not to loud👌🏻 You were able to have a conversation without yelling at each other☺️ We ordered some starters and were already amazed on how fast the kitchen was working. The Tom Kha Soup and the spring rolls were amazing and brought back memories from my visit in Bangkok. The Drunken Noodles were insanely good. I love spicy food but there is good spicyness and bad spicyness. This one was great!!!🥵😤🥰 For dessert we had mango sticky rice. Also great. (The only proposal I would give would be to change the way you serve the mango. The bits were too big to scoop up together with the rice just using the teaspoon. Maybe mango slices instead of cubes and serve with a small fork?) The employees were super friendly and I heard from other tables that spicyness is optional (most of the dishes have a lot of chillies as a sign of spicyness🌶️🌶️🌶️). Observing the staff showed that they seem to have fun working there 😜. Our waiter was literally never standing still. From sorting the menus and bringing them in order to having a look around the restaurant if everything is fine. This takes a certain talent and they certainly have it.🤩 Also with a big glass window to the kitchen we were able to see how tidy and clean it was even with the restaurant being almost fully seated. ✨And the cooks still had time to have a laugh with each other.

In the end it was a really great eating experience that we will definitely repeat when we come back to Bukarest!!! Thanks a lot!!! ขอบคุณมาก!!! khop...

Stepping into Tom Yum felt like a little escape to Thailand, with its warm, inviting atmosphere and a menu that instantly sparked curiosity. My friend and I visited for lunch, eager to explore the flavors of Thai cuisine, and we were not disappointed.

We started with the appetizer platter for two, which included crispy prawn tempura, golden spring rolls, and juicy chicken skewers, accompanied by a trio of flavorful sauces. It was a perfect way to begin, setting the tone for a delicious meal.

For the main course, we enjoyed a stir-fried duck with vegetables, beautifully balanced in flavor, and a side of fragrant jasmine rice. But the real highlight for me was the soup—a rich and aromatic Thai specialty filled with prawn, fish, and unfamiliar yet intriguing herbs and spices. The flavors were delicate yet complex, and I already know I’ll be coming back to try an even spicier version next time.

To finish, we indulged in a classic Thai dessert—sticky rice with mango and mango ice cream. It was the perfect combination of sweet, creamy, and slightly chewy textures, a true comfort dish that rounded off the meal beautifully.

Beyond the food, I loved the thoughtful presentation, from the elegant ceramic plates to the cozy and stylish interior. The staff, mostly Thai, were incredibly kind, friendly, and happy to answer questions about the dishes. They spoke mostly English, but communication was effortless, and their warm hospitality made the experience even better.

If you’re looking for an authentic Thai food experience, Tom Yum is definitely a place to try. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Thai cuisine or just curious to explore, you’ll find something to love here. I know I’ll be...

A true gem in the heart of Bucharest. I was married to a Thai, and I lived in Thailand for 3 years, in a non-touristy area. I can tell that this restaurant serves the most authentic Thai food in a very cozy atmosphere. I was saddened to read all the pretentious reviews from some of the Romanians who, in the best-case scenario they went to Pataya for 3 days (or little Moscow as I like to call it) and they think they know Thai cuisine. They should be ashamed of themselves. The owners of this restaurant are Thais and they put a lot of money, effort, and love into this place. It makes me mad how some wanna-be local guides pretend to know everything and they denigrate such amazing place. I hope and I know that karma will one day do justice. I ordered Som Tom and it was spiced and flavored to perfection. When the server heard that we were there to celebrate our anniversary, she called the owner herself who personally came to the table, congratulated us, and offered us dessert and two glasses of wine at our liking. And then she spent some time with us at the table, trying to learn our life story. That is something I have not yet experienced in Romania. As American, I can certify that this is true American customer service at its best. I will post some pictures but unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the dishes when they came to the table. A message to the owners: my only regret is that I can only give you 5 stars. Please continue to do what you do, because you are truly amazing. Don’t listen to anyone. You grew up with Thai food and you know Thai flavor better than any of those wanna-be connoisseurs. They just go there to show-off on Instagram.

🙏🏼 Kap...
