Osteria Zucca — Restaurant in Bucharest

Horrible stuff! We reserved a 2 persons table for lunch a day before the event and when we arrived we were invited to sit and eat at a very small table in an impossible sitting, near the stairs and in the middle of traffic. The explanation was that they are very busy at that moment and if we don't like it we could sit on the terrace, in a cold november weather. They provided two blankets and a heater, both unuseful for it was very cold. There was absolutely nobody on the terrace except for us. The lady I was with got very upset and the waiter answered impolitely asking " What is your problem?" and than saying that he is sorry she is upset during Sunday. He was actually mocking us while we were sitting on the cold terrace. He than added that they reserve the tables in accordance with the space and time they have and that they are a very busy local and we have to comply. In conclusion: we were guilty and wrong and he was righteous and superior. We left off course, so I can only guess that the lucky customers that deserved a nice treatment eat well here. It was second time when we had lunch in this location. They have an outside terrace where we chose to stay, despite the leaves on the table and on the chairs, which we took off. As it is autumn, there are a lot of leaves falling, but a little attention to clean the tables and chairs after each client would be appreciated. The service was fast and the waiter offered good recommendations despite the lack of interest we noticed at him. First time we were here, we ordered beef with asparagus, but the asparagus was not cruncy. Now we chose octopus and baby calamari with vegetables. Baby calamari were delicios and cruncy, but the octupus not quite well cooked as it was soft, like it had been boiled and not grilled. The salmon penne I ordered were a bit too salty. I tried the pasta dishes ordered by my friends and to be honest I has better pasta elsewhere. The tables outside were kind of crowded. The service was slow, had to wait 20 minutes before someone would take our initial order for drinks and this only after we stopped one of the waiters. Otherwise, we would have waited for longer I guess. Good thing was that we did not have to wait for the food to arrive to long after ordering it. Had to ask a few times two different people to bring us additional glasses and drinks. Our bill was wrong but they corrected it immediately so I would count this as a positive.
