Sciccheria Rosetti — Restaurant in Bucharest

I will start my review of this restaurant with a fact: I totally forgot to take pictures of the food (will come back later for that) as the food was looking delicious and so it was. Sciccheria is an authentic italian restaurant, very nice design, live music, versatile place I would recommend it for a special date, as well for a casual dinner with friends or even for a business meeting. The food was absolutely delicious, with some special dishes created by a Michelin chef. Not limited to those only, but all the food we ordered was looking and tasting fantastic: appetizers, meat- picanha, tomahawk, swordfish, beef tagliolini pasta and a special pistachio dessert. The food was good (expensive but tasty), but the drinks were a major disappointment, especially considering the price. The gin & tonic (Monkey 47) was served with a deflated Schweppes tonic, completely ruining the drink. At these prices, there should at least be premium ingredients, even down to something as simple as a quality tonic. A cocktail costs as much as a meal, but without the quality you'd expect at this price. At this point, you might as well order Beefeater or another cheaper gin, because the flat Schweppes tonic won’t let you enjoy the quality of the gin anyway.

This is a charming Italian restaurant that’s definitely worth a visit at least once. The atmosphere is delightful, enhanced by live guitar music that creates a warm and inviting vibe.

While my personal experience with the food was mixed—some dishes didn’t quite meet my expectations, like the dessert, which I found lacking in flavor—I believe I may have just caught an off moment. One highlight was the hummus with beef, which was absolutely delicious and stood out as a must-try!
