Cafe Wien — Restaurant in Sibiu

I would like to start by saying that the view and the atmosphere on the back terrace is amazing, I would stay there all day. I’d like to start of by offering my feedback about the breakfast option, which we found basic, however tasty. The service 👨🏻‍🍳👨🏻‍💼was great, the personnel working this morning was funny and helpful with information and recommendation. The deluxe breakfast was a bit pricy for only some sliced meats 🍖 🥩 The omelette 🍳was fluffy and perfectly balanced with meat 🥓cheese 🧀and vegetables🍅🫑. I recommend the ☕️🧋“ kaffe verkehrt “, it worked perfectly with my wife’s croissant 🥐🙊. My dessert the “Kaiserschman” even if it doesn’t look very attractive I was a delight, the combination of fluffy pancake with vanilla and apple 🍎 was successfully calculated.

Last but not least i would like to offer my opinion and feedback on the dinner that we had. I’ll start of on the dinner with some drinks, we had a lavander Prosecco, pineapple and basil lemonade and a elderflower drink 🍹🍸🧉. For food we selected their specialty, the Wiener-schnitzel, the mini one for my wife and the normal one ( very big portion ) for me. We combined the schnitzel with cheesy potatoes on the side which were great, delicious, I still think about them and on the side I got a garlic sauce. The schnitzel was to hard and difficult to cut, it was very thin, I couldn’t finish it, I still left 3/4 bites on the plate as I got tired of trying to cut it. However the cheesy potatoes from all their carbohydrates gave us all the dopamine necessary not to get so affected by the hard schnitzel. For dessert we got the apple strudel which we greatly appreciated and everything we heard about it was true, it was delicious. ❤️🫔 the combination of the hot apple strudel with the vanilla ice cream was balanced perfectly.

We had a great time here, the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, for sure will be back here again.

We absolutely loved this place. We were lucky to have amazing sunny weather, and this dreamy location made our short day and brunch in Sibiu absolutely worth it. We initially went there to try the Sacher torte, but we ended up having a burger as well (with real fried potatoes, not frozen ones 😍😅). Next time we definitely wanna try the Schnitzel, someone next to us ordered it and it looked& smelled great. There are not many tables on this side, so it never gets extremely crowded or noisy. Also there is a big tree just above the tables, so you always get the feeling of being in nature while you’re actually in the city center. The staff was polite, helpful by any means, funny and just great. I also noticed that they pack your meal if you can’t eat all of it, so you can enjoy it later at home, really nice. We were surprised in a good way by this experience and we are looking forward to going...

We went there for lunch while in Sibiu because of the good reviews, such a terrible mistake. First, I have never had such bad coffee in a place called a Café ever. I had to leave it there untouched. Food was ok, burgers with schnitzels, fried eggs, cheddar And french fries, couldn’t have been bad in any circumstances. Eggs were meh. However, the worst part was that it took about an hour or more for the food to come and the waiter switched our burgers and we only realised after tasting, obviously. No way back from there. So, the service was bad. Coffee was terrible. We sat inside, so not even the Piano could made us feel better. We were also close to the kitchen, saw some ‘manual’ handling of food on the plates by the waiters. Personally, I do not recommend. Burgers were ok, hence...
