I rarely write reviews, but One Soul completely blew me away — this was, without a doubt, the best food experience of my entire life.
From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The decor struck a perfect balance between modern elegance and cozy intimacy, setting the tone for what would become an unforgettable evening.
The Food I ordered the beef tenderloin and the gyoza, and I’m still thinking about them hours later.
The beef tenderloin was cooked to absolute perfection — tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It had that melt-in-your-mouth quality that only comes from exceptional cuts of meat handled by a kitchen that truly knows what it’s doing. The seasoning was subtle yet purposeful, allowing the natural flavors of the beef to shine while being elevated by a rich, balanced sauce. Every bite was a moment of bliss.
The gyoza were equally remarkable. Lightly crisp on the outside with a delicate, flavorful filling, they were served with a dipping sauce that complemented them beautifully without overpowering their subtle umami notes. It was the kind of dish that makes you close your eyes and just savor.
The Drinks I had two gin-based cocktails, and they were outstanding — perfectly balanced, refreshing, and surprisingly nuanced. The bartender clearly knows their craft. Both drinks were a work of art in a glass, both visually and flavor-wise.
The Service Flawless. Attentive without being intrusive, friendly without being forced. You can tell the staff genuinely cares about your experience. Their knowledge of the menu and their passion for what they serve made the evening even more special.
Final Thoughts One Soul is not just a restaurant — it’s a destination. A place where every detail, from the plate to the playlist, is curated to perfection. It’s rare to find a restaurant where everything — food, drinks, service, ambiance — comes together so harmoniously.
If you’re anywhere near this place, do yourself a favor and go. And if you’re far, it’s worth the trip.
5/5. Would give it...
Read moreFor sure, the priciest restaurant in town, by far. I expected from One Soul, at these exorbitant prices, in Romania, exquisite dishes and impeccable service.
The indulgence for the 2 stars review is given by the food which was tasty, except maybe 2 dishes: the pre desert where the coffee ice cream's taste was ruined by a carrot reduction at least mediocre and the baked cauliflower which was, in a word, "tasteless". We gave feedback to the waiter. I sincerley believed that the chef or someone else would come and explain the choices and why they taste like that, but nothing... Funny story also, when I asked for some pepper for my onion soup: the waiter told me that in this restaurant the food doesn't need anything else other than of the seasoning of the chef :)) Funny but not funny. Almost cringe... I had, eventually, my pepper.
The service, however, can be easily comparable to whichever common restaurant, below average, in Brasov area. From forgetting to set the table for one of us between courses, asking twice, even three times to be served with water or whatever almost every time, to forgetting to serve the French fries with the steak for two of us... It arrived after 5 minutes
You would say that these are small errors, but, in this place, at these prices, for me, are far from being normal. Unfortunately, and I generalize, we, the Romanians, are not exigent enough with this kind of places, where you pay at least triple compared to everything else. We should give them feedback more often, in this way they can progress and we can come back. Or the other way around. Long story short, I expected impeccable, I got average. By the way, the sauce for the Pepper steak, was 6 euros...

One Soul in Brașov is nothing short of spectacular. We’ve dined here multiple times over the years, and every single visit has been an absolute delight. Whether it’s the exquisite food, the impeccable service, or the sophisticated ambiance, this restaurant consistently delivers a flawless dining experience.
One of the standout dishes is the octopus with hummus—a true explosion of flavors, perfectly balanced and expertly prepared. Their mashed potatoes are among the best I’ve ever tasted, smooth and rich, a perfect complement to any main course. The French onion soup is another highlight, comforting and full of depth. Their bread selection, served with various butters, is exceptional, though I have no idea where they source it—it’s simply divine.
For those with a sweet tooth, the mille-feuille is an elegant masterpiece, and the unique “gin” dessert is a must-try. The restaurant also offers an impressive gin selection, crafted tableside by the bartender, adding a touch of theatre to the experience. If cocktails are your thing, don’t miss the Amaretto Sour—it’s a delight.
Every dish we’ve tried at One Soul (and trust me, we’ve tried a lot) has been nothing short of perfection. This place never lets us down, making each visit just as special as the last. If you’re in Brașov and looking for a refined dining experience, One Soul is the...
