Am Rosenanger — Restaurant in Zona Metropolitană Brașov

The communication of the waitstaff was rather terrible, even in Romanian. They didn’t have an ingredient to make the Spazle, but did not communicate this to us until we asked after 45 min why the food was taking so long.

They proceeded to tell us that the food would be out very soon, and tried to avoid our table. When we finally decided to leave, due the long wait the waiter came out with our food and we were almost obliged to take the food. And couldn’t say no.

After 1 hour and 15 min they brought the food but they forgot one dish, and didn’t notice until we informed them well into our meal. They proceeded to bring out the wrong dish. We decided to enough is enough!

After all this they didn’t even comp part of the bill and we had to pay the full price for a terrible experience. I would...

We 're from out of town and this is the 4th time we visit the restaurant, so we could say it was a favourite of ours. Usually we were happy with the food, atmosphere and service. This time I happened to order a dish I simply could't eat (I found it inedible) and I asked the waiter if anything could be done about it. I didn't wait for a free meal or anything, just an honest excuse and maybe a symbolic gesture like a 10% reduction in...something, but it wasn't the case. We hesitated before choosing this restaurant - the last night of our break in Brasov, wondering if it makes sense to eat what's described as "German" food in Romania. I am glad we did. Food was outstanding. I glanced at other reviews and I understand comments made about sizes of portions as I have seen Vienner schnitzels being delivered to other tables. I came to conclusion that the key in this restaurant is to understand what to order. We chose well: ribs, smoked pork knuckle and most wonderful spetzle with gorgonzola sauce.
