Janno — Restaurant in Palace District

Was on the 30th of December 2023. We were 8 people. I choose the place of nostalgic reasons as i have been here with good friends 2008. So we took a real chance. The food was absolutely great. I had collieflower soup and beef cheak for main. Very well prepaired. My son had chicken soup and loved it. The waiter Daniil was a perfect compliment to a great meal. Extremely nice. Value for money also great. So i give 5 stars. 3 downsides. Odd administrator. She didnt recognize her own customers who went out smoking and greated them ascthey justa arrived. . And we were the only guests🙄😆. She was also not very friendly. Tone it down a little bit and be nice to your staff is my recommendation. 10% service charge for large groups.... Why? L'ambiente è molto bello e ben arredato. Tutto è pulito compresi i bagni. Il cibo che abbiamo provato era molto buono. Il carpaccio di gamberi, la vellutata di cavolfiore con gamberi (gamberi tipo C1) erano squisite. Il merluzzo alla siciliana aveva un ottimo sugo peccato che il pesce non ne avesse preso il sapore. I medaglioni di carne con patate grill erano buonissimi, idem per il borsch. Una cosa sorprendentemente gustosa è stato il pane. Ora, il cuoco è veramente bravo, ma il servizio non è stato cordiale. Il cameriere è stato mediamente cortese, mentre la signorina che era in sala ci ha fatti sentire di troppo. Inizialmente abbiamo fatto i complimenti per la bontà dei piatti, e l'unica cosa che ci veniva risposto era un suono fatto tenendo chiusa la bocca. Anche quando ci è stata portate l'acqua abbiamo ringraziato ma lei ci ha sempre risposto con un suono tipo :"m-m". Ad un signore vicino a noi allo :"спасибо " la signorina rispondeva:"пожалуйста", ma a noi non si è mai degnata di rispondere:"prego". Avrei voluto prendere il dolce dato che era il mio compleanno ma ho evitato, volevo solo tornare a casa. Mi dispiace perché il locale è sotto casa e potevamo venirci ancora. La cosa che mi ha fatto ridere è che alla fine ha chiesto se volessimo lasciare la mancia. Comunque...

For the 3rd year in a row we went with our friends to Janno on the 30th of December for early New Years celebration. Again we was enjoying the experience enormously. Food is coming out of the kitchen fast and is well cooked, despite the fact that we was 9 people. Friendly staff and expedient service makes this place worth visiting.
