I recently visited fat boys and had one of the most disappointing and frustrating dining experiences of my life. I went there with the intention of trying their beef burger, but to my dismay, I was served a pork burger instead. When I politely pointed out the mistake to the staff, they adamantly insisted that it was indeed a beef burger. It was evident from the taste and texture that it was pork, but they refused to accept their error.
As if that wasn't bad enough, the staff's behavior was extremely unprofessional and aggressive. Instead of apologizing for the mistake or trying to find a solution, they became confrontational and rude. It's appalling to witness such a lack of customer service in a supposedly reputable restaurant.
To make matters worse, the staff members handling the situation were children, who were clearly not trained to handle customer complaints appropriately. It felt like they were mocking my concerns and simply didn't care about the customer's experience.
Despite the glaringly incorrect order and the terrible service, the restaurant had the audacity to make me pay for the pork burger, which I didn't even want in the first place. I left the restaurant feeling cheated and humiliated, vowing never to return.
I urge anyone reading this review to steer clear of fat boys The entire experience was a complete disaster, and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone else. There are countless other restaurants in town that value their customers and offer quality food and service. Save yourself the trouble and find an alternative dining option, because this one is undoubtedly not worth your...
Read moreWhen we arrived first, it was packed, but we were advised to come back a bit later and we managed to get a seat. The waiters were really nice and professional. The food was from a whole new world! I have not had such an amazing experience in a while and I mean it in the best way possible. The Dry-Aged burger, even though we got a well-done burger, was super tasty and not as dry as you'd expect. It was so delicious - the patty, the sauce, the salad, the buns. Pulled Pork sandwich was an extraterrestrial experience - the meat was juicy, flavourful; the buns were crispy (a huge plus), the sauce was spot on as well as the salad. The chips and French fries were perfect - the chips was thicker than normal chips which was so much better and they were super crispy; the French fries were super tasty as well. We also took the Chipotle sauce and it was good, not too spicy. The wait time was not too bad, considering what we ordered and how many people ordered along with us as well. Although the prices are a bit higher which is to be expected, I also heard that this is the best burger place in the city and I couldn't agree more. I hope that if someone is reading this they will also bring back the Ox tail sandwich as I was super exited to try it. I can't wait to have Mac & Cheese next as well! Please continue doing what you're doing and we'll...
Read more10/10 Are you North American and wanting a bit of "home" flavor? Or just wanting to try some real American style food? This is the place.
Have been missing a bit of the comfort foods from home-but things like mac and cheese are a bit hard to recreate here (the cheese is very different here/not the same cheddar flavor/etc).
Was recommended this place by another foreigner living here and I am not disappointed. This is the first time I've really felt all the flavors from home are here.
The burger is quite large and toppings are great. The bun was super nice too-it is a full on American burger. 100g is enough for sure. They cook it to order too (instead of well done like many places). The meat texture is more similar to Serbian style-but thats all in the grind/etc (more springy) but the flavor is all beef american burger.
The fries are probably the best I've had so far: super crispy and flavorful. There was a lot of fries.
And the mac and cheese? I took a bite and had to save the rest for another day-but its exactly what I was hoping for. Excellent mac and cheese for the region. (Not the roux based-or it seems a bit more hard cheese type mac and cheese, which is totally fine too).
When I need that bit of "home comfort food", this is going to by my...
