Wonderful Italian Restaurant in Serbia!

I had the pleasure of visiting this Italian restaurant in Serbia, and it was simply fantastic! The food was without a doubt the best I’ve had in a while – the quality was excellent, and everything was freshly prepared. The flavors were rich and authentic, providing a true Italian dining experience.

A special shoutout to Marco, our waiter. He was simply the best! I’ve never been served so quickly and with such warmth. His recommendations were perfect, and he made sure we felt completely at ease throughout the meal. You can tell he loves what he does.

Visited Trattoria Pepe on March 25 in the evening after noticing its high Google rating. The place is beautiful and cozy. Food is good, but not memorable. Prices are above average.

The problem: I added a tip to the card payment, and the waiter thanked me. Then I saw a line "povraćaj" ("change" in Serbian) on the receipt: it turned out the waiter already included the tip (about 10%) as "povraćaj", so I basically tipped twice. When I asked, the waiter claimed "povraćaj" was a tax. I pointed out that "tax" is "porez", and only then did he admit the "mistake" and return part of the tip.

Foreign guests deserve honesty and respect too, they pay the same prices as locals do and leave tips. Besides, it's illegal to charge more than what's specified...

If you're looking for an amazing dining experience while in Serbia, look no further. This small, fine Italian restaurant is a must-visit for any tourist. The food is absolutely phenomenal. Every dish is made with fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. You can tell that the chefs put their heart and soul into their cooking. The service is also top-notch. The staff is friendly and attentive and they know their job well. They are always happy to make recommendations and answer any questions you have.
