What the owners of Homa/Xoma have managed here rises to the likes of high-end (dare I say it) Michelin-bound cuisine for the City of Belgrade. And the way in which they’ve managed to do so is nothing short of magical. I’ve traveled the world, dining at hundreds of high-end establishments, some of which were Michelin starred, all falling deservedly into that category for their interpretive use of ingredients and their unique twists on the experience that is dining. What Homa pulls off in this dining experience is something much more to me, and not because it serves great food or high-end wine. No, Homa is far far more. Homa is home to one of the best dining experiments that not only rose to a Michelin-like occasion, but crushed it, bringing me to literal tears for the ways in which they mustered a familiar taste from my Serbian childhood in Belgrade. Whether it was beef tongue that somehow emulated the tastes of my kuma’s stews or the salmon salad that drew out the tastes of lunches with my nana or the mid-course palate cleanser that brought me back to every cherry I’ve ever eaten in Serbia, it was magical and nostalgic to the point of involuntary but elated tears. What’s more, Homa has curate the finest of Serbian wines into pairing options that will make you rethink all preconceived notions about “whether” Serbia has good wine. It has EXQUISITE wines! Homa may not yet have a Michelin star but it is somehow even better than the likes of Michelin. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Belgrade and even more highly to Serbian emigrants looking for fine-dining that delicately weaves in the familiar tastes of our...

Absolutely stunning Interior and decor indoors and a private garden surrounded by beautiful trees for outdoor dining.
The lovely staff make sure your dining experience is five stars, including gloves to set the tables. Nevena, our very attentive waitress, was an absolute delight.
An extensive international wine list with a curated selection of verticals, with an excellent range of wines by the glass available. We enjoyed a local glass of sparkling rose, only available in a magnum, followed by a french chablis.
The food is exceptional, we started with a fish dish, and we all know how Wayne' feels about fish, but he devoured the trout in a heartbeat. All dishes were bursting with flavour and deliciousness.
We couldn't pass up the roasted lamb, and we were very pleased we chose it, perfection.
The icing on the cake was the dessert, a mouthwatering Lemon Tart with Elderberry-Yoghurt Sorbet and Pine Nuts and Honey Dressing, accompanied by a special surprise, the Temet Rose sparkling.

Read moreWe took the 6 dishes menu with wine. Regarding the different pairing wines, they were very good exept one that was a little bit too "special" for our tast. The service staff was competent and welcoming. The restaurant is nice with a very high ceiling and comfortable furniture. We were a bit bothered by the smokers but true non smoking restaurants are very rare in Serbia. The food was good but not great. The amuse-bouche were nice and offered a large selection of flavours and textures. The first dish was disappointing. A layer of crispy pastry with bland scrambled eggs and slices of truffles. It was forgettable. The next one was very good but the size of an amuse-bouche, a crispy saint-jacque big enough for only one bite. The third one was probably the best. Fish on top of spicy swiss shards with a delicious broth. Unfortunately, like every other dishes, it was cold. Maybe it was in purpose but when you are in November and it's rainy outside, I would not serve small portions of food in cold plates. Temperature, texture and flavour combined make great dishes. The meat dish and the foie gras were good, nice presentation too. The lemon tart and elderflower sorbet was a nice finish. We had a good time at Homa but it I was expecting a little more attention to details and generosity...
